Anthems Of The Damned
''Anthems of the Damned'' is the debut full-length studio album by Israeli thrash metal band Hammercult, released on April 20, 2012 through Sonic Attack Records. The album was produced by the band's guitarist Arie Aranovich and mixed by former Hatesphere vocalist Jacob Bredahl. The album included a digital bonus track of Hammercult covering classic Accept song 'Fast As a Shark'. In June 2013 SPV re-released 'Anthems Of The Damned' on a limited edition red vinyl version which included 3 new bonus songs. Hammercult was an Israeli-based thrash metal band, founded in 2010. The band is regarded as the leading extreme metal band of the Israeli metal movement in the 2000s. Band history Formation, ''Rise of the Hammer'' EP and Wacken Metal Battle (2010–2011) The official founding of the band took place in October 2010 with the band going into full activity on their first show a few months later in Be'er Sheva, Israel, on December 25, 2010. Thrash Metal
Thrash metal (or simply thrash) is an extreme subgenre of heavy metal music characterized by its overall aggression and often fast tempo.Kahn-Harris, Keith, ''Extreme Metal: Music and Culture on the Edge'', pp. 2–3, 9. Hatesphere is a Danish thrash metal band from Aarhus, formed in 2000 by guitarist Peter "Pepe" Hansen. As of 2016, the band consists of vocalist Esben "Esse" Elnegaard Kjaer Hansen, guitarists Peter "Pepe" Lyse Hansen, and Kasper Kirkegaard, bass player Jimmy Nedergaard and drummer Mike Park Nielsen.
