Annie Preece
Annie Preece (born February 23, 1981), also known as "Love Annie", is an American visual artist, public speaker and comedian who lives and works in Los Angeles, California. Early life Preece was born in Burlingame, California to a family of artists. During her teen years she friended and was mentored by several graffiti artists, becoming one of the few recognized female street artists in San Francisco. By age 27 she (temporarily) put down the spray can and moved to a paintbrush on canvas. Preece has struggled with heroin addiction for over 20 years, her battle was partially documented on Season 1 of the reality series '' Addicted - Annie & Michael'' on the TLC network in 2010. She is now living in recovery. Burlingame, California
Burlingame () is a city in San Mateo County, California. It is located on the San Francisco Peninsula and has a significant shoreline on San Francisco Bay. The city is named after diplomat Anson Burlingame and is known for its numerous eucalyptus groves, high quality of life, walkable downtown area, and public school system. As of the 2020 census, the city population was 31,386. History Burlingame is situated on land previously owned by San Francisco-based merchant William Davis Merry Howard. Howard planted many eucalyptus trees on his property and retired to live on the land. Howard died in 1856 and the land was sold to William C. Ralston, a prominent banker. In 1868, Ralston named the land after his friend Anson Burlingame, the United States Ambassador to China. Justin Bua is an artist, author, speaker and entrepreneur. He currently lives in Texas and is best known for his lyrical narrative paintings of musicians, DJs and similar characters who help define the urban landscape. As an artist "for the people, by the people, of the people," Bua's fan base is diverse and ranges from former presidents, actors, musicians, professional athletes, dancers, to street kids and art connoisseurs. The Roxy Theatre (often just the Roxy) is a nightclub on the Sunset Strip in West Hollywood, California, owned by Lou Adler and his son, Nic. History The Roxy was opened on September 23, 1973, by Elmer Valentine and Lou Adler, along with original partners David Geffen, Elliot Roberts and Peter Asher.
