Anne Marie Victoire De Bourbon
Anne Marie Victoire de Bourbon (11 August 1675 – 23 October 1700) was the daughter of Henri Jules, Prince of Condé, and Anne Henriette of Bavaria. As a member of the reigning House of Bourbon, she was a '' Princesse du Sang''. She never married and died of lung disease. Biography ''Anne Marie'' Victoire was the seventh child born to the Duke and Duchess of Enghien. Her father was the only surviving son of '' le Grand Condé'' while her mother was a daughter of the political hostess Anna Gonzaga. She was born at the Hôtel de Condé in Paris, the city residence of the Prince of Condé when not at court at the Château de Saint-Germain-en-Laye outside the capital. The two previous months prior to Anne Marie's birth saw the death of two siblings; Anne de Bourbon (1670–1675), known as Mademoiselle d’Enghien till death and Henri de Bourbon, Count of Clermont (1672–1675). Pierre Gobert
Pierre Gobert (1662 – 13 February 1744) was a French painter. He was born in Fontainebleau, the son of the sculptor Jean II Gobert. Gobert entered the Royal Academy of Painting and Sculpture on 31 December 1701 as a portraitist. During the reign of Louis XIV he became the preferred painter of the great ladies of the court as evidenced by the large collection of portraits that he executed during that time. Gobert's style included incorporating the traits of mythology into his portraits. Louis De Rouvroy, Duc De Saint-Simon
Louis de Rouvroy, duc de Saint-Simon, GE (16 January 16752 March 1755), was a French soldier, diplomat, and memoirist. He was born in Paris at the Hôtel Selvois, 6 rue Taranne (demolished in 1876 to make way for the Boulevard Saint-Germain). The family's ducal peerage ('' duché-pairie''), granted in 1635 to his father Claude de Rouvroy (1608–1693), served as both perspective and theme in Saint-Simon's life and writings. He was the second and last Duke of Saint-Simon. His enormous memoirs are a classic of French literature, giving the fullest and most lively account of the court at Versailles of Louis XIV and the ''Régence'' at the start of Louis XV's reign. Louis Joseph de Bourbon, Duke of Vendôme, often simply called Vendôme (1 July 165411 June 1712) was a French general and Marshal of France. One of the great generals of his era, he was one of Louis XIV's most successful commanders in the War of the Grand Alliance and War of the Spanish Succession. Vendôme joined the French Army and was promoted Lieutenant General in 1688 after his distinguished combat record in the Franco-Dutch War. Further successes entitled him to his first army command in 1695, and soon after, he was rewarded with a promotion to Marshal of France. Vendôme was one of the most aggressive and successful French army commanders during the wars of Louis XIV.
