A radio dramatization of the original ''Star Wars'' film trilogy was produced in 1981, 1983, and 1996. The first two radio series, based on '' Star Wars'' and ''The Empire Strikes Back'', were produced and broadcast by National Public Radio (NPR) as part of ''NPR Playhouse''. A dramatization of ''Return of the Jedi'' was produced by most of the same team and it was also broadcast on NPR. The radio serials were made with the full cooperation of George Lucas, who, in exchange for a dollar each, sold the rights to KUSC-FM, the public radio affiliate at his alma mater, the University of Southern California (USC). Peter Gerety (born May 17, 1940) is an American actor. He is best known as Judge Daniel Phelan in ''The Wire'' (2002–2008). Career Gerety is a veteran of stage, screen and television. In early 1992, he performed to critical acclaim on Broadway in '' Conversations with My Father'', starring Judd Hirsch, and in Harold Pinter's '' Hothouse''. He has since performed in many more plays both on and off-Broadway, most recently in Martin McDonagh's ''The Lieutenant of Inishmore''. In the late 1990s, he joined the cast of the Barry Levinson produced NBC police drama '' Homicide: Life on the Street.'' He played FBI Agt. Franklin Morgan in the short-lived American adaptation of ''Life on Mars''. In the final season of ''Brotherhood'' as Martin Kilpatrick. ''Quintet'' is a 1979 American post-apocalyptic science fiction film directed by Robert Altman. It stars Paul Newman, Brigitte Fossey, Bibi Andersson, Fernando Rey, Vittorio Gassman and Nina Van Pallandt. Plot The story takes place during a new ice age. The camera tracks a blank, frozen, seemingly deserted tundra until two blurry, distant figures can just be made out.
