Annayya (2000 Film)
''Annayya'' () is a 2000 Indian Telugu-language film directed by Muthyala Subbaiah who wrote the film with Bhupati Raja and Satyanand. The film stars Chiranjeevi, Soundarya, Ravi Teja, Venkat, Chandni, Sishwa, Priya and Kota Srinivasa Rao. It has music composed by Mani Sharma with cinematography by Chota K. Naidu. The film is released on 7 January 2000. The film won three state Nandi Awards. The film was remade in Bengali as Devdoot (2005). It was later dubbed into Tamil as ''Moothavan''. Plot Rajaram, owner of a fleet of lorrie, meets Devi, a garment factory owner. After that acquaintance, she once seeks his help in dealing with two street ruffians, who were teasing her sisters, Lata and Geetha, and is shocked when the culprits turn out to be his brothers, Ravi and Gopi. Muthyala Subbaiah
Muthyala Subbaiah is an Indian film director. He has directed 50 Telugu films. Known for his films with heavy dose of human emotions, he is sometimes referred as ''Sentiment Subbaiah''. Personal life Muthyala Subbaiah was born in Parlapalli, a village in Nellore district of Andhra Pradesh. His parents are Sankaraiah, Seshamma. He is the eldest of four children. Sathyam Babu Dixithulu (born 31 July 1951), known by his stage name Sarath Babu, is an Indian actor known for his works predominantly in Tamil and Telugu cinema. He has worked in more than 200 films. Sukhwinder Singh (born 18 July 1971) is an internationally acclaimed Indian playback singer who primarily sings Bollywood songs. The Nandi Awards are the awards that recognise the excellence in Telugu cinema, Telugu theatre and Telugu television, and Lifetime achievements in Indian cinema. Presented annually by the Government of Andhra Pradesh, the award is named after the big granite bull at Lepakshi — a cultural and historical symbol of the Telugu people. Harini (singer)
Harini (born 30 April 1979) is an Indian film playback singer and classical singer who sings in Tamil, Hindi, Telugu and Kannada films, working with many leading film composers. She is married to another playback singer, Tippu. Harini learnt Carnatic music from Gowri and Radha Viswanathan from the age of four. In her later years, she learned from Sudha Raghunathan and currently from Suguna Purushotthaman. She used to participate in school competitions and in one such competition which she won, A. R. Rahman who distributed the prizes invited the winners to his studio to record their voices. Hariharan (born 3 April 1955) is an Indian playback, bhajan and ghazal singer who predominantly sings in Tamil, Hindi and Telugu languages. He has also sung over 15,000 notable songs in 10 regional languages including Malayalam, Kannada, Marathi, Sinhala and Bhojpuri. Veturi Sundararama Murthy (29 January 1936 – 22 May 2010), known mononymously by his surname Veturi, was an Indian poet, lyricist and journalist who is popular for writing Telugu songs. His career in the Telugu cinema spanned more than four decades. He was highly admired and cherished for his deep and thoughtful lyrics in Telugu songs.
