Annabelle Lindsay
Annabelle Lindsay (born 10 February 1998) is a 4.5 point Australian wheelchair basketball player. She made her international debut with the Australian women's national wheelchair basketball team (the Gliders) at the Osaka Cup in February 2017. In May 2019, she was part of the U25 National team (the Devils) that won silver at the 2019 Women's U25 Wheelchair Basketball World Championship in Suphanburi, Thailand. Biography From 2009 to 2015, Lindsay represented the ACT State Team in the Australian National Championships in her age division, and was co-captain of the Under 14 and Under 16 teams. She played for the Canberra Capitals Academy team in the South East Australian Basketball League (SEABL), winning the team's Rising Star award for 2014, and dreamt of one day playing in the WNBA. The International Wheelchair Basketball Federation (IWBF) is the international governing body for the sport of wheelchair basketball. Extra Time
Overtime or extra time is an additional period of play specified under the rules of a sport to bring a game to a decision and avoid declaring the match a tie or draw where the scores are the same. Lady Movin' Mavs
The UT Arlington Mavericks women's wheelchair basketball team, commonly known as the Lady Movin' Mavs, is the women's college wheelchair basketball team representing the University of Texas at Arlington (UTA). Established in 2013, the team plays under the auspices of the National Wheelchair Basketball Association (NWBA). It has been coached by Jason Nelms since its establishment. The Lady Movin' Mavs have won two National Intercollegiate Wheelchair Basketball Tournament (NIWBT) national championships, in 2016 and 2018. 2018 Wheelchair Basketball World Championship
The 2018 Wheelchair Basketball World Championship was held at the Edel-optics.de Arena in Hamburg, Germany, from 16 to 26 August 2018. Both men's and women's tournaments were held, with 12 women's and 16 men's teams competing, representing 19 different nations. Each team selected 12 players for the tournament. The men's competition was won by Great Britain, with the United States winning silver and Australia winning bronze. The 2017 Asia Oceania Wheelchair Basketball Championships for men and women were held at the China Disability Sports Training Centre in Beijing, from 23 to 28 October 2017. The men's tournament was won by the Australian Australia men's national wheelchair basketball team, Rollers. Iran came second, and Japan overcame Korea in the bronze medal game to come third.
