Anke Baier-Loef (''née'' Baier; born 22 May 1972) is a German speed skater who competed in the 1992, 1994 and 1998 Winter Olympics. She was born in Eisenach and is the wife of Arie Loef. In 1992, she finished ninth in the 1000 metres event and tenth in the 500 metres competition. Two years later she won the silver medal in the 1000 metres contest. In the 1500 metres event, she finished eleventh and in the 500 metres competition she finished 15th. Anke Ohde
Anke Ohde (later Wegner, born 13 April 1955 in Malchin) is an East German sprint canoer who competed in the mid-1970s. She won five gold medals at the ICF Canoe Sprint World Championships with two in the K-1 500 m (1974, 1975), one in the K-2 500 m (1974), and two in the K-4 500 m events (1974, 1975). In 1976, she was displaced by fellow SC Neubrandenburg club member Carola Zirzow in the K-1. The Olympic nomination for the K-2 went to the world champions, Bärbel Köster and Zirzow. Hannelore Anke (later Hofmann; born 8 December 1957) is a retired German swimmer who competed for East Germany in the 1970s. Personal life Anke was born in 1957 in Bad Schlema. Her mother had a senior position in a textile manufacturing plant and her father was a decorative painter. The sixth of ultimately seven children, she was the first god-child of Wilhelm Pieck, who at the time of her birth was president of East Germany. Sports career Anke became junior-champion at the 1971 Junior European Swimming Championships. She had her best achievements in the 100 m breaststroke and 4 × 100 m medley relay. In these two events she won gold medals at the 1976 Summer Olympics and 1975 World Aquatics Championships, and set two world records. In 1975, she also won a world title in the 100 m breaststroke.
