Gianfrancesco Lazotti
Gianfrancesco Lazotti (born 2 March 1957) is an Italian film screenwriter and director. Born in Rome, Lazotti studied at DAMS in Bologna and apprenticed as assistant director to many well-known Italian directors, including Ettore Scola and Dino Risi. Meanwhile, he launched his own career directing commercials and hosting a show on RAI radio. In 1987 he made his feature directorial debut with Il mitico Gianluca for Italian TV. Among his subsequent credits: Schiaffi d'amore, Saremo felici, Lo sbaglio, for the omnibus feature Corsica, the TV series Chiara e gli altri (1990), I ragazzi del muretto, Linda e il brigadiare and the documentary The great Carnival of Venice. Rai 1 () is an Italian free-to-air television channel owned and operated by state-owned public broadcaster RAI – Radiotelevisione italiana. It is the company's flagship television channel, and is known for broadcasting mainstream and generalist programming, usually aimed towards families, including ''TG1'' news bulletins, prime time drama, cinema and entertainment, and major breaking news, sports and special events. Nicola Piovani (born 26 May 1946) is an Italian light-classical musician, theater and film score composer, and winner of the 1998 Best Original Dramatic Score Oscar for the score of the Roberto Benigni film ''La Vita è bella'', better known to English-speaking audiences as ''Life Is Beautiful''. Lino Banfi (born Pasquale Zagaria; 9 July 1936) is an Italian film actor and presenter. He has appeared in more than 100 films since 1960. Biography He was born in the Apulian city of Andria and at the age of three, moved to Canosa di Puglia. Lino Banfi became one of the most well-known actors in Italian "sexy comedies" in the 1970s. In the 1980s he reached the peak of his fame by appearing in movies such as ''L'allenatore nel pallone'', '' Vieni avanti cretino'', ''Il commissario Lo Gatto'' and ''Occhio, malocchio, prezzemolo e finocchio''; he recently portrayed Grandpa Libero in Italian TV series Un medico in famiglia. Giovanna Ralli, (born 2 January 1935), is an Italian stage, film and television actress. Life and career Born in Rome, Ralli debuted as a child actress at 7; at 13 she made her theatrical debut, entering the stage company of Peppino De Filippo. After appearing in Federico Fellini and Alberto Lattuada's ''Variety Lights'' (1950), Ralli had her first film roles of weight in mid-fifties, often in comedy films.
