Angelo State Rams Football
The Angelo State Rams football team represents Angelo State University in NCAA Division II college football. The Rams compete in the South Division of the Lone Star Conference. Angelo State has earned one national title and three conference titles since becoming a member of the Lone Star Conference. The team plays all home games at LeGrand Stadium at 1st Community Credit Union Field. Jeff Girsch is currently the head coach. Jeffrey T. Girsch (born ) is an American college football coach. He is the head football coach for Angelo State University; a position he has held since 2019. He previously coached for St. Ambrose. Jim Hess
James Ray Hess (December 1, 1936 – October 2, 2021) was an American football coach. He served as the head football coach at Angelo State University in San Angelo, Texas from 1974 to 1981, Stephen F. Austin State University in Nacogdoches, Texas from 1982 to 1988, and New Mexico State University in Las Cruces, New Mexico from 1990 to 1996, compiling career college football coaching record of 134–108–5. Hess led his 1978 Angelo State Rams football team, 1978 Angelo State team to a NAIA Football National Championship, NAIA Division I Football National Championship. Western State Mountaineers Football
The Western Colorado Mountaineers are the athletic teams that represent Western Colorado University, located in Gunnison, Colorado, in NCAA Division II intercollegiate sports. The Mountaineers compete as members of the Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference for all 11 varsity sports. Northern Michigan Wildcats Football
The Northern Michigan Wildcats are the athletic teams that represent Northern Michigan University, located in Marquette, Michigan, in NCAA intercollegiate sporting competitions. All teams that play under NCAA governance compete at the Division II level, with three exceptions. The most significant one is the men's ice hockey program, which plays at the Division I level.
