André De Ridder
André de Ridder (born 1971) is a German conductor. Biography Born into a musical family, de Ridder studied conducting with Leopold Hager at the University of Music and Performing Arts, Vienna and with Sir Colin Metters at the Royal Academy of Music in London. de Ridder is noted for his work in contemporary music. He has collaborated with These New Puritans, Uri Caine, Nico Muhly, Owen Pallett. He has also worked regularly with MusikFabrik, Mouse on Mars, andh Efterklang. From 2007 to 2012, de Ridder was principal Conductor of Sinfonia Viva. In 2012, de Ridder founded ''stargaze'', a musical collective devoted to crossing borders between different music genres. ''stargaze'' and de Ridder have launched their own spring festival in Berlin. For BBC Radio 3, de Ridder co-curated and conductor the ''Unclassified Live'' series. The Manchester International Festival is a biennial international arts festival, with a specific focus on original new work, held in the English city of Manchester and run by Factory International. The New Zealand Symphony Orchestra (NZSO) is a symphony orchestra based in Wellington, New Zealand. The Dutch National Opera (DNO; formerly De Nederlandse Opera, now De Nationale Opera in Dutch) is a Dutch opera company based in Amsterdam, Netherlands. Kaija Saariaho
Kaija Anneli Saariaho (; ; 14 October 1952 – 2 June 2023) was a Finnish composer based in Paris, France. During the course of her career, Saariaho received commissions from the Lincoln Center for the Kronos Quartet and from IRCAM for the Ensemble Intercontemporain, the BBC, the New York Philharmonic, the Salzburg Music Festival, the Théâtre du Châtelet in Paris, and the Finnish National Opera, among others. The Edinburgh International Festival is an annual arts festival in Edinburgh, Scotland, spread over the final three weeks in August. Notable figures from the international world of music (especially european classical music, classical music) and the performing arts are invited to join the festival. Donnacha Dennehy
Donnacha Dennehy (born 17 August 1970) is an Irish composer and leader of the Crash Ensemble specializing in contemporary classical music. According to musicologist Bob Gilmore, Dennehy's "high profile of his compositions internationally, together with his work as artistic director of Dublin’s Crash Ensemble, has distinguished him as one of the best-known voices of his generation of Irish composers". Wolfgang Rihm (; 13 March 1952 – 27 July 2024) was a German composer of contemporary classical music and an academic teacher based in Karlsruhe.
