Andrii Vyacheslavovych Ponomar ( ua, Андрій В’ячеславович Пономар; born 5 September 2002) is a Ukrainian cyclist, who currently rides for UCI WorldTeam . Career In May 2021, he was named in the startlist for the 2021 Giro d'Italia, he is the youngest rider to compete since 1929. Ponomar won his first professional race in 2021, the Ukrainian national road race championship. Giro Di Toscana
The Giro di Toscana is a road bicycle race held annually in Tuscany, Italy. From 2005 to 2014, the race has been organised as a 1.1 event on the UCI Europe Tour. The race was not held in 2015. On 4 April 2016 it was announced that the race will return in September 2016 as a three-race challenge (similar to the Trittico Lombardo or Vuelta a Mallorca), consisting in three one-day races held consecutively in Tuscany. Each race will award points to the best placed riders, and the rider who score most points will win the overall classification of Giro della Toscana. This new edition will be named ''Giro della Toscana - Memorial Alfredo Martini'', in memory of Alfredo Martini, former cyclist and coach of the Italy national cycling team. The 2022 Giro d'Italia was the 105th edition of the Giro d'Italia, a three-week Grand Tour (cycling), Grand Tour cycling stage race. The race started on 6 May in Budapest, Hungary, and finished on 29 May in Verona, Italy. The race was won by Jai Hindley of , taking his first Grand Tour victory and becoming the first Australian to win the Giro. General Classification In The Giro D'Italia
The general classification in the Giro d'Italia is the most important classification of the Giro d'Italia, which determines who is the overall winner. It is therefore considered more important than secondary classifications as the points classification or the mountains classification. Since 1931, the leader of the general classification is identified by a pink jersey ( it, maglia rosa ). Prior to that year and since the creation of the race, no colour was used to distinguish the winner at the top of the classification.
