Andrew Turner (born 16 February 2002) is an English rugby union player, currently playing for the and . His preferred position is prop. Early career Turner attended Filton College and played for Weston-super-Mare RFC before joining the Bristol Bears academy. Professional career Turner joined the Bristol Bears academy in 2020. He made his debut in the 2021–22 Premiership Rugby Cup, before making a further two appearances in the 2022–23 Premiership Rugby Cup. During this period he was dual-registered with Ding Crusaders RFC. In early 2023, Turner moved to New Zealand to represent Sumner RFC, who have a partnership with Bristol Bears. Due to an injury crisis at the , Turner was a late inclusion in their side for Round 11 against the , making his debut in the same fixture. Prop (rugby Union)
In the game of rugby union, there are 15 players on each team, comprising eight forwards (wearing jerseys numbered 1–8) and seven backs (numbered 9–15). In addition, there may be up to eight replacement players "on the bench", numbered 16–23. Players are not restricted to a single position, although they generally specialise in just one or two that suit their skills and body types. Players that play multiple positions are called "utility players". Forwards compete for the ball in scrums and line-outs and are generally bigger and stronger than the backs. Props push in the scrums, while the hooker tries to secure the ball for their team by "hooking" it back with their heel. The England Under 20 rugby team are the newest representative rugby union team from England. They replace the two former age grade teams Under 19s and Under 21s. They compete in the annual Six Nations Under 20s Championship and World Rugby Under 20 Championship. The head coach of the team is, Alan Dickens. Bristol Bears (officially Bristol Rugby Club or Bristol Rugby) are a professional rugby union club based in Bristol, England. They play in Premiership Rugby, England's top division of rugby.
