Andrew Davies (Labour Politician)
Andrew David Davies (born 5 May 1952) is a Welsh Labour politician, who represented the constituency of Swansea West in the National Assembly for Wales. Davies was born in Hereford to Welsh parents; his mother is from Llandeilo and his father from Holywell, Flintshire. Davies attended Hereford Cathedral School and Swansea University, where he trained as a teacher. Professional career He worked for the Ford Motor Company and a public affairs company. Davies is also a qualified counsellor and has lectured in further, higher and continuing education. Andy Davies (referee)
Andy Davies is an English football referee from Hampshire, known for being the only referee in the EFL who formally played for a football team. Career Davies began his career as a professional footballer, and had spells at Gillingham, Portsmouth and Yeovil Town. However, at age 28 he was forced to retire due to injury. His career as a referee began in the 2004–05 season, and he quickly advanced through the levels, before being promoted to the Football League as a referee in the 2012–13 season. He has since refereed over 200 games for the EFL. For the start of the 2016–17 season, Davies was included as a Select Group 2 referee, which sees him primarily referee in the Championship, for which he has refereed over 80 games. Andrew Robert Davies (born 19 May 1983) is a Welsh former darts player who played in events of the Professional Darts Corporation (PDC). He currently works for the PDC as a scoring official. Career Davies played in the 2003 UK Open, losing in the last 64 stage to Henry O'Neill. Davies then qualified for the 2003 Las Vegas Desert Classic, narrowly losing both group games to Wayne Mardle and Roland Scholten. Davies reached the 64 stage of the 2005 UK Open, winning two matches before losing 8–0 to Mark Holden. Since then though, Davies has not been able to qualify for a major event, his last big event came in the 2007 US Open, reaching the third round before losing to Scholten. Andrew John Davies (born 17 December 1984) is a former English professional footballer who played as a centre back. Originally signing with Middlesbrough as a 13-year-old, Davies has played for 11 clubs at a variety of levels. He was loaned to Queens Park Rangers, Derby County and Southampton, signing with the latter after leaving Middlesbrough.
