Andrew Aplin
Andrew Ahyim Aplin (born March 21, 1991) is an American former professional baseball outfielder. He attended Arizona State University, where he played college baseball for the Arizona State Sun Devils. Amateur career Aplin was born Suisun City, California, but lived in the Phoenix metropolitan area in the mid-1990s. When he was six, his family moved back to California. Aplin attended Vanden High School in Fairfield, California. After graduating, the New York Yankees selected Aplin in the 33rd round of the 2009 MLB draft. He did not sign, and instead enrolled at Arizona State University to play college baseball for the Arizona State Sun Devils baseball team. In 2011, he played collegiate summer baseball with the Orleans Firebirds of the Cape Cod Baseball League. Tyler Heineman
Tyler Andrew Heineman (born June 19, 1991) is an American professional baseball catcher in the Pittsburgh Pirates organization. He played college baseball for the UCLA Bruins. The Houston Astros selected Heineman in the eighth round of the 2012 MLB draft. He previously played in MLB for the Miami Marlins, San Francisco Giants, Toronto Blue Jays and Pittsburgh Pirates. High school and college Heineman attended the Windward School in Los Angeles. There, he played for the school's baseball team. He batted .490 as a sophomore (2007), batted .619 as a junior (2008; establishing the Windward School single-season batting average record), and batted .487 and earned first-team All-California Interscholastic Federation Division IV honors as a senior (2009) in addition to Delphic League MVP honors. The California League is a Minor League Baseball league that operates in California. Lancaster JetHawks
The Lancaster JetHawks were a baseball team located in Lancaster, California. They were named for the city's association with the aerospace industry and played their home games at The Hangar. From 1996 to 2020, they were members of Minor League Baseball's California League, a Class A-Advanced league affiliated with Major League Baseball (MLB). Class A Short Season (officially Short-Season A) was a level of play in Minor League Baseball in the United States from 1965 through 2020. In the hierarchy of minor league classifications, it was below Triple-A, Double-A, Class A-Advanced (created in 1990), and Class A. Teams in Class A Short Season played about 75 to 80 games per season, compared to the 130- to 140-game seasons of most professional baseball minor leagues. The Tri-City ValleyCats (often shortened to Cats) are a professional independent baseball team based in Troy, New York. The Tri-City name refers to the three nearby cities of Albany, Schenectady, and Troy which make up New York State's Capital District. From 2002 to 2020, they were members of Minor League Baseball's New York–Penn League (NYPL) as the Class A Short Season affiliate of the Houston Astros. Houston Astros
The Houston Astros are an American professional baseball team based in Houston, Texas.
