Andorran Basketball Federation
The Andorran Basketball Federation ( ca, Federació Andorrana de Basquetbol) is the governing body of basketball in Andorra. It was founded in 1988. It organizes the internal league and runs the Andorra national basketball team and also the men's and women's national 3x3 teams. The current president of the federation is Manuel Fernández. 2016 FIBA Europe Under-18 3x3 Championships
The 2016 FIBA Europe Under-18 3x3 Championships was the second edition of the European Under-18 3x3 basketball event that features separate competitions for men's and women's national teams. The tournament started on 16 July 2016 with the start of two qualifying tournaments and its final tournament was played in Debrecen, Hungary from 9–11 September 2016. France won an historic double as both their men's and women's teams took home gold for their first championship in this competition. Qualification The qualification events took place on 16–17 July 2016. A total of 26 men's teams and 22 women's teams took part in the two tournaments, with 12 teams of each gender qualifying for the final championship. FIBA Europe Under-18 3x3 Championships
The FIBA Europe Under-18 3x3 Championships (and FIBA Europe Under-17 3x3 Championships since 2021) is an under-17/under-18 3x3 basketball competition between FIBA Europe members. The event was held for the first time in Minsk, Belarus in 2015 and has been held annually ever since. In the championship there are 2 events, men's and women's. Each team has 4 players (3 on court, 1 bench), aged fewer than 18 years. The match is played on a half court and every rule applies as well as a 12-second shot clock and clearance needed on a new possession. 2016 FIBA 3x3 Under-18 World Championships
The 2016 FIBA 3x3 Under-18 World Championship was an international 3x3 basketball event hosted in Kazakhstan. It featured separate competitions for men's and women's under-18 national teams. The tournament was held in Astana in front of the Astana Opera. It was co-organized by the FIBA. Participating teams The FIBA 3x3 Federation Ranking was used as basis to determine the participating FIBA member associations. The winners of both the men's and women's tournaments of the 2014 edition, New Zealand and France respectively automatically qualifies. FIBA 3x3 Under-18 World Championships
The FIBA 3x3 U18 World Cup is an under-18 basketball tournament run by the International Basketball Federation (FIBA) since 2011. The tournament was known as the FIBA 3x3 U18 World Championships until the 2016 edition. History The event was held for the first time in Rimini, Italy, in September 2011 and has been held annually since then. The tournament was not held in 2014 and 2018 due to 3x3 basketball being an event at the 2014 Summer Youth Olympics and 2018 Summer Youth Olympics. In 2020, it was not held due to COVID-19 pandemic.
