The Andhra Pradesh football team is an Indian football team representing Andhra Pradesh in Indian state football competitions including the Santosh Trophy. They have appeared in the Santosh Trophy finals 6 times, and have won the trophy thrice. Prior to 1959, the team competed as Hyderabad football team. They have failed to qualify for the final rounds of 69th Santosh Trophy (2015). Andhra Pradesh Football Association (APFA), formerly the Andhra Football Association, is the state governing body of football in Andhra Pradesh. Sait Nagjee Football Tournament
The Sait Nagjee All India Football Tournament is one of the most prestigious football Tournaments held in Kozhikode, Kerala, India. The tournament was very popular from the beginning & attracted large crowd since 1952. The tournament played until 1995 regularly though with stoppages a couple of times. In 1995, the tournament was won by JCT Mills. Since 1995, there was a gap of 21 years during which the tournament was not held. Due to various reasons including the predominance gained by cricket, lack of support from the government and the escalation of real estate costs made football less popular. The tournament was revived again in 2016 with clubs from different parts of the world and Argentina U-23 national team. Brazilian footballer Ronaldinho is the brand ambassador for the tournament. DCM Trophy
The Delhi Cloth Mills Trophy, known simply as D.C.M. Trophy, was an invitational football tournament in India. It was held annually in New Delhi and was organised by the local Delhi Football Association. It was India's first football tournament to provide the national clubs with international exposure due to participation of international clubs from Asia and Europe. History The tournament was established in 1945 by Bharat Ram and Charat Ram of the Delhi Cloth & General Mills textile conglomerate. Delhi's local teams won the first two editions; since then, clubs from Calcutta have dominated the 1950s and early 1960s, and foreign clubs since the late 1960s. The tournament has not been organised since 1997 due to fixture congestion and various restructuring policies in Indian club football. Mohun Bagan was the last winner of the tournament. Mir Iqbal Hussain Trophy
The Sub Junior National Football Championship, also known as Mir Iqbal Hussain Trophy, is an Indian football tournament for players under 16 years of age. The competition is held every year between the under-16 teams representing states of India. The tournament was started in 1977 for boys under the age 15 years. The tournament was constituted at the Darjeeling meeting of the AIFF on 12 June 1976. AIFF donated the trophy in the memory of former President of Karnataka State Football Association, Mir Iqbal Hussain. From the 2009–10 season onwards, the championship has been sponsored by Coca-Cola and was rechristened as the Coca-Cola MIHT for a period of three years. This also saw a change in the format of the tournament where there are three different levels before the selection of national team.
