Andhra Cricket Association
Andhra Cricket Association (ACA) is the governing body of cricket in the Indian state of Andhra Pradesh. The association is affiliated to the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) and governs the Andhra cricket team. The association was founded in 1953 and has been affiliated to the BCCI ever since. The ACA operates the ACA-VDCA International Cricket Stadium in Visakhapatnam, which hosts International-level Test, ODI and T20 cricket matches. The headquarters of the association is at Visakhapatnam. C. K. Nayudu, the first captain of Indian cricket team, was instrumental in the formation of Andhra Cricket Association and was its founder president. Cricket
Cricket is a bat-and-ball game played between two teams of eleven players on a field at the centre of which is a pitch with a wicket at each end, each comprising two bails balanced on three stumps. The batting side scores runs by striking the ball bowled at one of the wickets with the bat and then running between the wickets, while the bowling and fielding side tries to prevent this (by preventing the ball from leaving the field, and getting the ball to either wicket) and dismiss each batter (so they are "out"). Means of dismissal include being bowled, when the ball hits the stumps and dislodges the bails, and by the fielding side either catching the ball after it is hit by the bat, but before it hits the ground, or hitting a wicket with the ball before a batter can cross the crease in front of the wicket. Ranji Trophy
The Ranji Trophy (also known as Mastercard Ranji Trophy for sponsorship reasons) is a domestic first-class cricket championship played in India between multiple teams representing regional and state cricket associations. Board of Control for Cricket in India founded Ranji trophy in 1935, since then it is annually organised across various grounds and stadiums in India. The competition currently consists of 38 teams, with all 28 states in India and four of the eight union territories having at least one representation. The competition is named after Ranjitsinhji who is the first Indian cricketer who played international cricket, he was also known as 'Ranji'. Rural Development Trust Stadium
Rural Development Trust Stadium is a cricket ground in Anantapur, Andhra Pradesh, India. The stadium comes with all necessary modern facilities, having been built and maintained by the Rural Development Trust. It was used as the home ground for Andhra cricket team. Port Trust Diamond Jubilee Stadium is a multi-purpose stadium in Visakhapatnam, India. This picturesque stadium of Visakhapatnam is situated amidst scenic hills and has hosted 18 under-19s matches . Cuddapah
Kadapa (colonial spelled Cuddapah) is a city in the southern part of Andhra Pradesh, India. It is located in the Rayalaseema region, and is the district headquarters of YSR Kadapa district. Ongole
Ongole is a city in Prakasam district of the Indian state of Andhra Pradesh. It is the headquarters of Prakasam district and also the mandal headquarters of Ongole mandal in Ongole revenue division. Ongole cattle, an indigenous breed of oxen, derived its name from Ongole. Vizianagaram is a city and the headquarters of Vizianagaram district in the Indian state of Andhra Pradesh. Ricky Bhui
Ricky Bhui (born 29 September 1996) is an Indian professional cricketer. He is a right-handed batsman and occasional leg spinner. Bhui scored an unbeaten hundred on his List A debut and also scored an unbeaten hundred on his Twenty20 debut. He is also a member of the Sunrisers Hyderabad franchise in the IPL. In December 2015 he was named in India's squad for the 2016 Under-19 Cricket World Cup and is the youngest player to feature in the tournament so far.
