Amy Winehouse – Back To Black
''Amy Winehouse: Back to Black'' is a 2018 documentary film about English singer Amy Winehouse and the making of her second studio album, ''Back to Black'' (2006). It contains new interviews, as well as archive footage. Directed by Jeremy Marre, the film was first broadcast on BBC Four on 14 September 2018 (on what would have been Winehouse's 35th birthday) as part of the ''Classic Albums'' documentary series. It was released on DVD, Blu-ray and digitally on 2 November 2018 by Eagle Vision. The film is accompanied by ''An Intimate Evening in London'', featuring footage of a performance by Winehouse at Riverside Studios in London in February 2008. Jeremy Marre
Jeremy Marre (7 October 1943 – 15 March 2020) was an English television director, writer and producer who founded Harcourt Films and made films around the world. Much of his work focused on musical subjects. His reputation was made with the ''Beats of the Heart'' series, which introduced elements of what is now called world music, and its performers, to the Western world. ''Rhythms of Resistance'', a film in the series, was where Paul Simon first saw Ladysmith Black Mambazo, who played a prominent role on Simon’s Graceland (album), Graceland album. Dionne Julia Bromfield (born 1 February 1996) is a British soul music singer, television presenter and television personality. Her debut album, ''Introducing Dionne Bromfield'', was released in 2009 by Amy Winehouse's Lioness Records label. She first came to public attention after performing on the British TV show ''Strictly Come Dancing'' with Amy Winehouse on backing vocals.
