Amir Khan vs. Paul McCloskey was a 140-pound world title fight, that was aired on HBO's '' World Championship Boxing'', as part of an HBO-televised split-site double-header, which also included WBC Welterweight Championship fight, Andre Berto vs. Victor Ortiz. Following on from Khan's successful title defence against Marcos Maidana, Champion Amir returned to Manchester to continue his title defence against EBU Super Lightweight Champion Paul McCloskey at the Manchester Evening News Arena. Martin Murray (boxer)
Martin Murray (born 27 September 1982) is a British former professional boxer who competed 2007 to 2020. He held the WBA interim middleweight title from 2011 to 2014, the British and Commonwealth middleweight titles between 2010 and 2012, and challenged five times for a world title. Primetime was a pay-per-view TV channel which broadcasts to the United Kingdom and Ireland. The channel was available on Sky channel 498 and through Virgin Media's On Demand service. Primetime also offered live streams via their website. History Super Six World Boxing Classic Primetime was launched in 2009 with the Super Six World Boxing Classic. The first fight broadcast was a double bill of Arthur Abraham vs. Jermain Taylor and Carl Froch vs Andre Dirrell live from the Trent FM Arena in Nottingham on 17 October 2009. A few viewers experienced technical difficulties on this first event and as such there were some customer complaints. Richard Towers
Richard Towers (Born Richard Hayles on 8 August 1979) is a British former heavyweight professional boxer. In 2012, Towers won the EBU-EU (European Union) heavyweight title. Imprisonment Richard Towers (then known as Hayles) was imprisoned for 13 years after being part of a gang which inflicted three days of agony on a man who was held at gunpoint, and tortured with a steam iron, hammer and stun gun.
