America's Got Talent (season 1)
The first season of the American talent show competition series ''America's Got Talent'' was broadcast on NBC from June 21 to August 17, 2006. The season went into production a year earlier than planned by ''Got Talent'' creator Simon Cowell. Cowell intended for ''Britain's Got Talent'' to debut before AGT in 2006. However, production was suspended due to internal conflicts within its British television network. David Hasselhoff, Brandy Norwood and Piers Morgan were the show's first judges, with Regis Philbin as host. This season originally had an early format for live round judging and Wildcard acts, which would be changed after the season's conclusion. The first season was won by singer Bianca Ryan, with clogging dance group All That, and singer/musician duo The Millers finishing as runner-ups within the Top 3 finalists. The Passing Zone
The Passing Zone is an American comedy- juggling duo comprising Jon Wee and Owen Morse. Wee, originally from Minnesota, and Morse, a California native, met at a juggling convention in northern California in 1986 and decided two years later to team up. Since then, the Passing Zone has won 18 gold medals from the International Jugglers' Association (IJA) and holds five Guinness World Records. The Passing Zone was one of ten finalists out of hundreds of acts to perform during the debut season of NBC's ''America's Got Talent'' where, despite finishing as "the highest rated comedy act," Wee and Morse "lost one million dollars to Bianca Ryan." Taylor Ware
Taylor Marie Ware (born September 17, 1994) is an American singer and yodeler from Franklin, Tennessee. Before Ware knew how to yodel, she performed at a county fair at age four. Her talent was singing and playing a fiddle. When she was six she decided to sing to seniors, so she started an Adopt-a-Grandparent program. She taught herself to yodel from an audiotape and instruction book when she was seven years old, after going to a music convention with country singer Naomi Hills. In 2003, at age 9, Ware won $10,000 in the Yahoo! Yodel Challenge and the Sonic Search for a Star. She was later featured in a Yahoo commercial. Vivian Smallwood (June 18, 1933 – July 22, 2017), known by her stage name Rappin' Granny, was an American grandmother who performed hip-hop music. She lived in Castaic, California, near Los Angeles. Outside of being known for portraying "Nano" Williams in '' Big Bad Beetleborgs'', Smallwood was a contestant on the NBC television series ''America's Got Talent'' during the 2006 season. Career Rapping Smallwood was employed as a postal worker and began rapping in the mid-1980s. Kevin Johnson (born June 7, 1970) is a professional ventriloquist, comedian, and magician. Biography Born in Colorado, Kevin has been a ventriloquist nearly all his life. Kevin started ventriloquism when he was 9 years old, after his parents gave him a pull-string dummy for Christmas. Having no formal training, he taught himself the art of ventriloquism over a 4-year period. He developed his technique from parrots. Corina Brouder
Corina Brouder is an American singer and harpist, born in The Bronx, New York City. As a child, her sister, Christina, spent some time in hospital after a hit and run incident, and Corina and her other siblings started entertaining her recovering sister and the other children in the ward. Eventually the family found themselves in demand to perform at similar venues, and, calling themselves The Spirits of Gilbride, began performing professionally. The group consists of Corina, Christina, Cornelia, Neil and Mary Catherine.
