Amber Slagle
Amber Slagle (born July 7, 1996) is an American professional stock car racing driver, crew chief, and engineer. She competes part-time in the ARCA Menards Series and ARCA Menards Series East, driving the No. 24 Chevrolet SS for McGowan Motorsports, and part-time in the ARCA Menards Series West, driving the No. 17 Chevrolet SS for the same team. Racing career Early career Slagle began racing at seven years old after her father bought her a quarter midget. She won the Dixie Motor Speedway Female Driver of the Year award three times, from 2007 to 2009, where she also won Rookie of the Year in 2007. She won the Owosso Speedway track championship in 2011, while also winning the "Got Game" award. She moved up to the Champion Racing Association in 2014, posting her best finish of 14th at Salem Speedway that year, and would get that same finish the following year at Springport Mid-Michigan Speedway. Salem Speedway
Salem Speedway is a long paved oval racetrack in Washington Township, Washington County, near Salem, Indiana, United States, approximately south of Indianapolis. The track has 33° degrees of banking in the corners. Major auto racing series that run at Salem are ARCA and USAC. History It opened in 1947; two drivers were killed on the first lap of the first race. The track received major storm damage in 1981 and it was not used until 1987. A thunderstorm had ripped the roof off the grandstands and fences were damaged. Don Gettelfinger Sr. bought the track in 1987 and he replaced the fence with concrete. The track closed in May 1995 when he declared bankruptcy. Owen and Beverly Thompson bought the track and reopened it in 1996 after adding a new building, redoing the grandstand seating to a new capacity of 6000 people, and renovating the pits. Dutch Boy 150 (Kansas)
The Dawn 150 is an ARCA Menards Series race held at Kansas Speedway. It is one of two races the series has at the track, the other being the Kansas Lottery 150 in September. The race was added to the schedule in 2020 after the cancellation of the race at Chicagoland Speedway due to COVID-19 regulations in Illinois. It then became a permanent race on the ARCA Menards Series schedule in 2021. So far in each year in that the race has been run, the race has been won by the driver who went on to win the series championship: Bret Holmes won it in 2020, which was his first ARCA win. The 2022 General Tire 150 was the second stock car race of the 2022 ARCA Menards Series, the first race of the 2022 ARCA Menards Series West and the 2022 Sioux Chief Showdown, and the third iteration of the event. The race was held on Friday, March 11, 2022, in Avondale, Arizona at Phoenix Raceway, a 1-mile (1.6 km) permanent low-banked tri-oval race track. The race was run over 154 laps due to an overtime finish. Taylor Gray of David Gilliland Racing would win the race after leading 43 laps. The Irwindale Speedway & Event Center (a.k.a. ''Irwindale Speedway'', ''Irwindale Dragstrip'', or "The House of Drift") is a motorsports facility located in Irwindale, California, United States. It opened on March 27, 1999 under the official name Irwindale Speedway.
