''Além da Ilusão'' (English title: ''A Trick of Fate'') is a Brazilian telenovela produced and broadcast by TV Globo. It is written by Alessandra Poggi, with the collaboration of Adriana Chevalier, Letícia Mey, Flávio Marinho, Rita Lemgruber. It aired from 7 February 2022 to 19 August 2022. It stars Larissa Manoela, Rafael Vitti, Danilo Mesquita, Antônio Calloni, Malu Galli, Marcello Novaes, Bárbara Paz, and Paloma Duarte. The telenovela is divided into two phases, the first set in Poços de Caldas, Minas Gerais in 1934 and the second in Campos dos Goytacazes, Rio de Janeiro in 1944. It follows the wealthy sisters Elisa and Isadora who, each in a different phase, fall in love with the magician Davi. The sisters are both played by Larissa Manoela. Telenovela
A telenovela is a type of a television serial drama or soap opera produced primarily in Latin America. The word combines ''tele'' (for "television") and ''novela'' (meaning "novel"). Similar drama genres around the world include '' teleserye'' (Philippines), '' téléroman'' (Canada, specifically Quebec), and ''sinetron'' (Indonesia). Commonly described using the American colloquialism Spanish soap opera, many telenovelas share some stylistic and thematic similarities to the soap opera familiar to the English-speaking world. The significant difference is their series run length; telenovelas tell one self-contained story, typically within the span of a year or less whereas soap operas tend to have intertwined storylines told during indefinite, continuing runs. This makes them shorter than most other television series, but still much longer than a miniseries. Poços De Caldas
Poços de Caldas is a municipality in the south of Minas Gerais state, Brazil, in the microregion of the same name. Its estimated population in 2020 was 168,641 inhabitants. The city is known for its hot springs. History Poços was founded in 1872. The region had been inhabited by the Cataguases Indians, who were expelled from their lands by the '' Bandeiras Unidas Paulistas'' during their quest for gold. The place was first called ''Freguesia de Nossa Senhora da Saúde das Águas de Caldas'' ("Parish of Our Lady of Health of Caldas Waters"). In 1874 it became a district, then, in 1875, it was elevated to the category of city. It became famous after the discovery of the hot springs, and many important people began to visit the spa in search of cures provided by the water. Arlete Sales Lopes, more known as Arlette Salles (born Paudalho, 17 June 1942) is a Brazilian actress. Biography Born in the interior of Pernambuco, she was married between 1958 and 1970 to the actor Lucio Mauro, with whom she has two children: Alexander Barbalho (actor) and Gilberto Salles (filmmaker). Paulo Sérgio Betti (born 8 September 1952) is a Brazilian actor, playwright, and stage director. He also works occasionally as film producer and director. Biography Paulo Sérgio Betti was born on 8 September 1952 in Rafard, a small town in the state of São Paulo. Ariclenes Venâncio Martins (born 29 March 1930), known professionally as Lima Duarte, is a Brazilian actor. He played a number of characters in Brazilian telenovelas, such as Zeca Diabo in ''O Bem-Amado'' and Sinhozinho Malta in ''Roque Santeiro''. He first appeared on Brazilian television in 1950. Duda Brack
Duda Brack, stage name of Eduarda Brack (Porto Alegre, 17 September 1993), is a Brazilian singer. In 2015 Duda Brack released her debut album ''É (album), É'' independently. It started to be developed in 2013, when she had over half the songs ready and called Bruno Giorgi (Lenine (musician), Lenine's son). In an interview for ''Veja (magazine), Veja'', Brack cited Fiona Apple, Gal Costa and Ana Cañas as references for the album. Marcílio Henrique Tavares Gonçalves (born 28 August 1991), better known as Ricky Tavares, is a Brazilian actor and model. Life and career Tavares was born in Brasília, and moved to Rio de Janeiro with his family during childhood. His siblings Juliana Xavier and Dharck Tavares are also actors.
