Alumni House (College Of William & Mary)
The Alumni House, formerly known as the Bright House, is a 19th-century building located on the College of William & Mary's campus in the middle of historic Williamsburg, Virginia.Alumni House history – wm.edu

The home was originally situated on a farm called "New Hope" owned by Samuel Bright and his family and at that time on the outskirts of the town.


History

At one time original portions of the house were thought to date back to 1871, but recent research has pushed the date back some years. A watercolor of the campus was discovered, however, which revealed that the Alumni House is probably an antebellum architecture, antebellum structure. List Of Mississippi Landmarks
The following is a list of Mississippi Landmarks officially nominated by the Mississippi Department of Archives and History and approved by each county's chancery clerk. The Mississippi Landmark designation is the highest form of recognition bestowed on properties by the state of Mississippi, and designated properties are protected from changes that may alter the property's historic character. Currently there are 890 designated landmarks in the state. Ogle Hall
Ogle Hall is an historic building in Annapolis, Maryland, Maryland Inventory of Historic Properties Inventory #AA-530. It is also known as the United States Naval Academy Alumni House. It is located at 247 King George Street and was built between 1739 and 1742 for Dr. William Stephenson. It changed hands and in 1747, Daniel Cheston leased the property to Provincial Governor of Maryland, Samuel Ogle, giving the building its namesake. Ogle maintained two properties in the Province, the other being the Belair Mansion in nearby Collington, Maryland. Widney Alumni House
Widney Alumni House is a Los Angeles Historic-Cultural Monument (No. 70) on the campus of the University of Southern California. It is the oldest university building in Southern California, having been in continuous use since 1880. Widney Alumni House has been designated as a California Historical Landmark (No. 536), as Original Building of the University of Southern California. The landmark plaque states, Dedicated on September 4, 1880, this original building of the University of Southern California has been in use continuously for educational purposes since its doors were first opened to students on October 6, 1880, by the university's first president, Marion McKinley Bovard. The building was constructed on land donated by Ozro W. Childs, John G. Downey and Isaias W. Hellman under the guiding hand of Judge Robert M. Widney, the university's leading founder.
