Alpha Diallo (basketball, Born 1997)
Alpha S. Diallo (born June 29, 1997) is an American professional basketball player for AS Monaco of the French LNB Pro A and the EuroLeague. He played college basketball for the Providence Friars. High school career Diallo was born and grew up in New York City but moved to Denver, Colorado with his mother. He played at Denver West High School as a sophomore and led the team to the Sweet 16 in the Class 4A tournament. He was declared ineligible by the Colorado High School Activities Association after attempting to transfer to Abraham Lincoln High School, coached by his mentor Vince Valdez. Diallo played two seasons at Frederick Douglass Academy in Harlem. He did a postgraduate year at Brewster Academy and averaged 16.5 points and 6.5 rebounds per game. Providence Friars Men's Basketball
The Providence Friars men's basketball team represents Providence College in NCAA Division I competition. They were a founding member of the original Big East Conference from 1979 until 2013, and are now a member of the current Big East Conference. They play their home games at the Amica Mutual Pavilion in Providence, Rhode Island. Since 2011, the head coach is Ed Cooley. The Friars have made two Final Four appearances in the NCAA Division I men's basketball tournament, in 1973 and 1987. VCU Rams Men's Basketball
The VCU Rams men's basketball team is the intercollegiate men's basketball team that represents Virginia Commonwealth University. The Rams joined the Atlantic 10 Conference in the 2012–13 season after previously competing in the Colonial Athletic Association (CAA). In 2017, VCU was ranked the 40th most valuable men's basketball program in the country by ''The Wall Street Journal''. The Oklahoma State Cowboys basketball team represents Oklahoma State University in Stillwater, Oklahoma, United States in NCAA Division I men's basketball competition. A postgraduate (PG) year is an extra year of secondary coursework at a boarding school following high school graduation, but before entering college. It is a gap year option intended for students who either have not applied or were not admitted to college. At most schools, postgraduate students are integrated with the senior class, where they are able to participate in the same activities and sports, as well as living and eating arrangements, as the seniors. In the United States, most of the programs are in New England. They started around the 1960s and were sponsored by the U.S. military academies, who would accept students after the one-year program. Abraham Lincoln High School (Denver)
Abraham Lincoln High School is a public high school, founded in 1959, in Denver, Colorado, United States, and is named after former President Abraham Lincoln. The school's colors are blue and grey, representing the colors worn by the soldiers during the US Civil War; blue represents the North, and grey represents the South. The original shade used in the school's colors was royal blue, distinguishing it from Manual High School's Carolina blue & John F. Kennedy's navy blue in the Denver Public School District.
