Alonso Del Arco
Alonso del Arco (1635–1704) was a Spanish painter. Life Born at Madrid in 1635, he was a disciple of Antonio de Pereda. He was deaf from birth and was called "El Sordillo de Pereda". He was an eminent painter, both of history and portraits. Several of his pictures are mentioned by Palomino Palomino is a genetic color in horses, consisting of a gold coat and white mane and tail; the degree of whiteness can vary from bright white to yellow. Antonio De Pereda
Antonio de Pereda y Salgado ( – January 30, 1678) was a Spanish Baroque-era painter, best known for his still lifes. Biography Pereda was born in Valladolid, the eldest of three brothers from an artistic family. His father, mother and two brothers were all painters. He was educated in Madrid by Pedro de las Cuevas and was taken under the protective wing of the influential Giovanni Battista Crescenzi. As well as still lifes and religious paintings, Pereda was known for his historical paintings such as the ''Relief of Genoa'' (1635), depicting a historical event of the 1620s. This was painted for the Salón de Reinos of the Buen Retiro Palace in Madrid as part of the same series as Velázquez's '' Surrender of Breda''. After Crescenzi's death in 1635, Pereda was expelled from the court and began to take commissions from religious institutions. Antonio Palomino
Acislo Antonio Palomino de Castro y Velasco (165513 April 1726) was a Spanish painter of the Baroque period, and a writer on art, author of ''El Museo pictórico y escala óptica'', which contains a large amount of important biographical material on Spanish artists. Life Antonio Palomino was born to a respectable family at Bujalance, near Córdoba in 1655. He studied philosophy, theology and law at Córdoba, and had lessons in painting from Juan de Valdés Leal, who visited there in 1672, and afterwards from Juan de Alfaro y Gamez in 1675. After taking minor orders Palomino moved to Madrid in 1678, where he associated with Alfaro, Claudio Coello, and Juan Carreño de Miranda, and executed some indifferent frescoes. He soon afterwards married a lady of rank, and, having been appointed ''alcalde'' of the ''mesta'', was himself ennobled; in 1688 he was appointed painter to King Charles II. Juan Agustín Ceán Bermúdez
Juan Agustín Ceán Bermúdez (17 September 1749 in Gijón3 December 1829 in Madrid) was a Spanish writer on art. Biography Bermúdez was born in Gijón, Asturias. He founded an art academy at Seville, and was given responsibility to order the Archivo General de Indias or the repository of documents relating to the Colonies. He later made secretary of the Council for Indian Affairs in Madrid, a post later lost. He put himself in the service of the statesman and author Jovellanos and wrote his master's biography; Jovellanos then helped pay for his artistic studies and placed him in a government position. He is best known as the author of the ''Diccionario Historico'', a biographical dictionary of the principal artists of Spain. Deaf people are typically defined as those who have profound hearing impairment in both ears as a result of either acquired or congenital hearing loss.
