Alone In North America
''alone.'' is a 2014 documentary film about the North American tour of the neo-psychedelia band The Morning After Girls, the morning after girls, in support of their LP Alone (The Morning After Girls album), ''alone''. It was produced by Hilbert David, and directed by Hilbert and the morning after girls. The film showcases music, images and live performances while recounting a novel experience in travel, as band members narrate collective aspirations and motives. Background Founding members Sacha Lucashenko (vocals and guitar) and Martin B. Sleeman (vocals and guitar) relocated the morning after girls from Melbourne to New York City, New York in 2008, to pursue an American version of the band. The decision to tour during the autumn of 2011 was based as much on the need to support their music, as on a desire to experience the United States. David Hilbert (; ; 23 January 1862 – 14 February 1943) was a German mathematician, one of the most influential mathematicians of the 19th and early 20th centuries. A reel is an object around which a length of another material (usually long and flexible) is wound for storage (usually hose are wound around a reel). Generally a reel has a cylindrical core (known as a '' spool'') with flanges around the ends (known as the ''rims'') to retain the material wound around the core. In most cases the core is hollow in order to pass an axle and allow the reel to rotate like a wheel, and crank or handles may exist for manually turning the reel, while others are operated by (typically electric) motors. CBGB was a New York City music club opened in 1973 by Hilly Kristal in Manhattan's East Village. The club was previously a biker bar and before that was a dive bar. The letters ''CBGB'' were for '' Country'', '' BlueGrass'', and '' Blues'', Kristal's original vision, yet CBGB soon became a famed venue of punk rock and new wave bands like the Ramones, Television, Patti Smith Group, Blondie, and Talking Heads.
