Allegheny Station (Broad Street Line)
Allegheny station is a rapid transit passenger rail subway station on SEPTA's Broad Street Line. The station is located at 3200 North Broad Street under the intersection of Allegheny Avenue in North Philadelphia, and is strictly for local trains. The station is located next to the Maurice H. Kornberg School of Dentistry, formerly known as the Temple University School of Dentistry. Allegheny Station (Market–Frankford Line)
Allegheny station is a rapid transit station on SEPTA Market–Frankford Line in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. It is located at the intersection of Kensington and Allegheny avenues (known as "K&A") and H Street in the Kensington neighborhood of North Philadelphia. The station is also served by SEPTA City Bus routes 3, 60, and 89. History Allegheny is part of the Frankford Elevated section of the line, which began service on November 5, 1922. Between 1988 and 2003, SEPTA undertook a $493.3 million reconstruction of the Frankford Elevated. Allegheny station was completely rebuilt on the site of the original station; the project included new platforms, elevators, windscreens, and overpasses, and the station now meets accessibility requirements. The line had originally been built with track ballast and was replaced with precast sections of deck, allowing the station (and the entire line) to remain open throughout the project. Allegheny Station (PAAC)
Allegheny is a station on the Pittsburgh Regional Transit's Pittsburgh Light Rail network, located in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. The stop serves the North Shore neighborhood and other adjacent neighborhoods. Among the locations within walking distance are: Acrisure Stadium, the Pittsburgh Steelers football stadium; Rivers Casino; the Stage AE amphitheater; Community College of Allegheny County's Allegheny Campus; and Carnegie Science Center. This station currently acts as the northern terminus of the Pittsburgh Light Rail system, and it is most distant station of the North Shore Connector project. It also marks the beginning of the Light Rail system's six-station "Free Fare Zone" within which riders do not need to pay to ride. Bus bays are located under the elevated station.
