All Kinds Of Everything (album)
''All Kinds of Everything'' is a studio album by American country singer–songwriter Hank Locklin. It was released in 1979 via Top Spin Records and contained 12 tracks of new material. It contained mostly re-recordings of songs Locklin had previously recorded. The album was issued to international markets outside of his home market: the United States. Background, content and release Hank Locklin had major hits in the 1950s and 1960s with songs like " Send Me the Pillow You Dream On" and " Please Help Me, I'm Falling." These songs (among others) gained notable international success, especially in Europe. After Locklin's commercial success declined in the 1970s, he began touring more overseas. A re-recording is a recording produced following a new performance of a work of music. This is most commonly, but not exclusively, by a popular artist or group. It differs from a reissue, which involves a second or subsequent release of a previously-recorded piece of music. Re-recordings are often produced decades after the original recordings were released, usually under contract terms more favorable to the artists. Richard Edward Arnold (May 15, 1918 – May 8, 2008) was an American country music singer who performed for six decades. Hargus Melvin Robbins (January 18, 1938 – January 30, 2022), known by his nickname "Pig," was an American session keyboard player. A steel guitar ( haw, kīkākila) is any guitar played while moving a steel bar or similar hard object against plucked strings. The bar itself is called a "steel" and is the source of the name "steel guitar". The instrument differs from a conventional guitar in that it is played without using frets; conceptually, it is somewhat akin to playing a guitar with one finger (the bar). Known for its portamento capabilities, gliding smoothly over every pitch between notes, the instrument can produce a sinuous crying sound and deep vibrato emulating the human singing voice. "Wedding Bells" is a song written by Claude Boone and recorded by Hank Williams on MGM Records. It peaked at No. 2 on the Best Selling Retail Folk chart in 1949. Background "Wedding Bells" was first recorded by the Knoxville radio veteran Bill Carlisle on King Records in 1947. John Wallace "Wally" Fowler (February 15, 1917 – June 3, 1994) was an American Southern gospel music singer, manager, and music promoter and businessman.
