All In Your Name (Barry Gibb Song)
"All in Your Name" is a song written and performed by Barry Gibb and Michael Jackson. It was recorded in 2002, and released on 25 June 2011, the second anniversary of Jackson's death in 2009. Writing and background ''Billboard'' reported on 20 December 2002 that Gibb wrote a song with Jackson recently in protest of the United States government's plan to invade Iraq (which took place in March 2003). There are rumors that Jackson showed up one day with a partly written song and talked Gibb into contributing to it. The date was probably in the summer of 2002. A fan said that Gibb has a demo recording of it, but Gibb himself would not confirm that any of this happened. Sir Barry Alan Crompton Gibb (born 1 September 1946) is a British musician, singer-songwriter and record producer. He rose to worldwide fame as a member of the Bee Gees, one of the most commercially successful groups in the history of popular music. Robin Hugh Gibb (22 December 1949 – 20 May 2012) was a British singer and songwriter. He gained worldwide fame as a member of the Bee Gees pop group with elder brother Barry and fraternal twin brother Maurice. Robin Gibb also had his own successful solo career. Their youngest brother Andy was also a singer. Alan Kendall (born 9 September 1944) is an English musician and was the lead guitarist for the Bee Gees, in an unofficial capacity from 1971 until 1980, and again from 1987 until 2001. Career His first recording was "Don't Play That Song (You Lied)", a single with a Lancashire band called Kris Ryan and the Questions, Kendall on lead guitar. His next known appearances were with Glass Menagerie. In 1970, he joined the bluesy progressive rock band Toe Fat who had released one album called ''Toe Fat''. Stephen "Steve" Rucker (born 2 March 1954) is an American musician and drummer who served as a drummer with many artists. His biggest and well known act was the Bee Gees.
