Los Angeles Galaxy
LA Galaxy, also known as the Los Angeles Galaxy, are an American professional soccer club based in the Los Angeles metropolitan area. The Galaxy competes in Major League Soccer (MLS), as a member of the Western Conference. The club began play in 1996 as one of the league's 10 charter members. The Galaxy were founded in 1994 and are owned by Anschutz Entertainment Group (also owners of 50% of the Los Angeles Kings, as well as an interest in the Los Angeles Lakers). In their early years, the club played its home games at the Rose Bowl in Pasadena, California. Since 2003, they have played at Dignity Health Sports Park in Carson, California. The team holds a rivalry with the San Jose Earthquakes in the California Clásico and used to play the SuperClasico against city rivals Chivas USA before that team folded in 2014. Emmanuel Boateng (footballer, Born 1994)
Emmanuel Agyenim "Ema" Boateng (born 17 January 1994) is a Ghanaian professional footballer who plays as a winger. He last played for the New England Revolution of Major League Soccer (MLS) and left the club following the 2022 season. Early life and education Boateng was born and raised in Ghana in a home that lacked running water and electricity. As a preteen, he was selected to join the Right to Dream Academy where he combined academic studies with football training. In 2009 at the age of 15, Boateng moved to the United States on a scholarship to attend Cate School in Carpinteria, California. In addition to playing for the Cate School team, he also appeared for other local youth sides in Santa Barbara Soccer Club and South Coast Strikers. Mike Caso (born July 13, 1984 in San Mateo, California) is an American soccer player, currently without a team. Career Youth and College Caso attended Hart High School in Newhall, California, played club soccer for West Valley Samba, and played college soccer at the University of San Diego, scoring 22 goals in a four-year career with the Toreros, and being named to the All-WCC First Team as a junior. Paolo Daniel Cardozo (born June 9, 1989) is an Uruguayan footballer who currently plays for Olympians FC in the United Premier Soccer League. Career Argentina Cardozo started his career with the youth ranks of Argentine power Club Atlético River Plate. After impressing while at River, Cardozo moved to the reserve side of Quilmes. Joe Cannon (soccer)
Joseph Cannon (born January 1, 1975) is an American former professional soccer player. He spent the majority of his 16 professional seasons playing in Major League Soccer. His 86 MLS career shutouts ranks him fourth in league history. He won the MLS Goalkeeper of the Year Award twice (2002, 2004), and finished runner-up for the award three times (2000, 2001, 2005). Jorge Campos Navarrete (born 15 October 1966) is a Mexican former professional footballer who played as a goalkeeper. A notable player of Mexico in the 1990s and early 2000s, Campos was an eccentric player, known for his constant play outside the penalty area – often functioning as a sweeper-keeper, as well as his acrobatic, risky, and flamboyant style of goalkeeping, and his colourful playing attire. Paul David Caligiuri (born March 9, 1964) is an American former soccer player who played as a defensive midfielder. Caligiuri's professional career spanned 16 years, during which he played for numerous teams in the United States and Germany, and for the U.S. national team. During his 14 years as a defender and defensive midfielder with the national team, he earned 110 caps and scored five goals. Caligiuri is best remembered for his game-winning goal widely dubbed the "Shot heard round the world," which he scored in a 1–0 World Cup qualifier victory over Trinidad and Tobago on November 19, 1989. Daniel Benjamin Califf (born March 17, 1980 in Orange, California) is an American retired soccer player. Career Youth and College Califf (pronounced kāl'ĭ-f) started his youth career in soccer for Canyon Hills Soccer Association, playing on the Canyon Classic team coached by his father. He played college soccer at the University of Maryland from 1998 to 2000. Daniel Jacob Calichman (born February 21, 1968) is an American soccer coach and retired player. He played as a defender and is an assistant coach for Major League Soccer club LA Galaxy. Playing career College Calichman played college soccer at Williams College, where he was a three-time NCAA Division III All-American. Professional Calichman began his professional career in Japan, first for Mazda in the Japan Soccer League in 1990 and 1991, and then for its successor Sanfrecce Hiroshima in the newly formed J. Marc Burch
Marc Burch (born May 7, 1984 in Cincinnati, Ohio) is an American soccer player. Career College and amateur Burch played college soccer at the University of Evansville for three seasons from 2002–2004, scoring seven goals and assisting on 22 along the way, and spent the summer months playing for the Cleveland Internationals in the USL Premier Development League. Edson Michael Buddle (born May 21, 1981) is an American retired Footballer who is currently the head coach of USL League Two side Westchester Flames. He is one of only 11 players to have scored 100 goals in Major League Soccer history. Paul Broome (born June 6, 1976, in Dallas, Texas) is a retired American soccer defender who played eight seasons in Major League Soccer. Youth and college Broome graduated from Lake Highlands High School in Dallas, Texas, where he was an All-State soccer and football player. He also played youth soccer with the Dallas Texans Soccer Club. He attended Southern Methodist University, playing as a midfielder and forward on the men's soccer team from 1995 to 1998.
