''Alive Behind the Green Door'' is a live album by the Celtic punk band Flogging Molly, recorded at Molly Malone's in 1997. Songs The album features two cover songs, "What's Made Milwaukee Famous (Has Made a Loser Out of Me)" and "De (That's All Right) Lilah", which is a combination of "Delilah" by Tom Jones and "That's All Right (Mama)" by Elvis Presley. Of the original songs on the album, the song "Never Met a Girl Like You Before" has not been recorded in the studio. Glenn Sutton
Royce Glenn Sutton (September 28, 1937 – April 17, 2007) was an American country music songwriter, record producer, and one of the architects of the ''countrypolitan'' sound. Biography Sutton wrote or co-wrote many of Tammy Wynette's early hits including, "Your Good Girl's Gonna Go Bad", "Take Me to Your World" (which would be the last song Wynette ever sang in concert before her death in 1998), "I Don't Wanna Play House, " The Ways to Love a Man", "Kids Say the Darndest Things", and "Bedtime Story". He also wrote the song "What's Made Milwaukee Famous (Has Made a Loser Out of Me)" (recorded by Jerry Lee Lewis, Rod Stewart, and Lynn Anderson), as well as the David Houston classic " Almost Persuaded". Sutton won a Grammy Award for the latter composition. "Almost Persuaded" has been covered by artists from all genres of music, including R&B legend Etta James. Mandolin
A mandolin ( it, mandolino ; literally "small mandola") is a stringed musical instrument in the lute family and is generally plucked with a pick. It most commonly has four courses of doubled strings tuned in unison, thus giving a total of 8 strings, although five (10 strings) and six (12 strings) course versions also exist. There are of course different types of strings that can be used, metal strings are the main ones since they are the cheapest and easiest to make. The courses are typically tuned in an interval of perfect fifths, with the same tuning as a violin (G3, D4, A4, E5). Electric Guitar
An electric guitar is a guitar that requires external amplification in order to be heard at typical performance volumes, unlike a standard acoustic guitar (however combinations of the two - a semi-acoustic guitar and an electric acoustic guitar exist). Dave King (Irish Singer)
Dave King (December 11, 1961 in Dublin) is an Irish singer, musician and songwriter. He is currently a member of the band Flogging Molly, of which he is a founding member. He first gained notability as the original lead singer of hard rock band Fastway in the 1980s. Roots and early life King grew up in a small two-room flat in Beggars Bush, Dublin tenement that had once been part of Beggars Bush Barracks. When he was around the age of six or seven his parents bought him a guitar. King remembers being called inside by his mother to watch David Bowie perform "Starman" on television, which he cites as one of many influences along with Luke Kelly, Joe Strummer, Johnny Cash, and Freddie Mercury to name a few. King's father died when he was 10 years old.
