Alive '05
''Alive '05'' is a live album by the alternative rock band Local H. It was released on September 13, 2005 on Cleopatra Records. It is the first official live album released by the band. The album is compiled from a couple live shows, one of which was on September 17, 2004 in Chicago at The Metro. The last track on the album is a studio recording of a cover of "Toxic (song), Toxic", originally performed by Britney Spears. The CD also contains 4 fan made music videos, two for "Cooler Heads" and one each for "No Fun" and "California Songs". The album is also known by other names. The front cover says ''Local H Comes Alive!''—a take on'' Frampton Comes Alive!'', the spine says "LOCAL H – LIVE" on one side and "LOCAL H – DEAD" on the other, and the inside image says ''Alive '05'', which is what the band calls the album. Bound For The Floor
"Bound for the Floor" is a song by American alternative rock duo Local H, released as the first single from their 1996 album, '' As Good as Dead''. It was released to modern rock stations on July 15 and mainstream rock stations on July 22. It is the band's most popular single, reaching No. 5 on the ''Billboard'' Modern Rock Tracks chart and No. 10 on the Mainstream Rock Tracks chart. Composition The song's angst-driven lyrics deal with a lack of confidence and frustration which is strongly reflected in the overall performance. Like many of Local H's songs, the guitar tuning is a half step down from standard. The song is noteworthy for the usage of the word "copacetic" in the chorus. Bass Guitar
The bass guitar, electric bass or simply bass (), is the lowest-pitched member of the string family. Guitar
The guitar is a fretted musical instrument that typically has six strings. Scott Lucas (musician)
David Scott Lucas (born May 10, 1970) is an American musician, who is best known for being the guitarist, bassist, and lead vocalist for Local H, as well as the lead vocalist and guitarist of Scott Lucas and the Married Men. Lucas co-founded Local H in Zion, Illinois, in 1987 with high school friends, bassist Matthew "Matt" Garcia and drummer Joe Daniels, along with lead guitarist John Sparkman. Sparkman left the band in 1991, and Garcia left in 1993, and Lucas added bass pickups to his guitar to compensate; Daniels left the band in July 1999 and was replaced by Brian St. Clair, leaving Lucas as the only remaining original band member. Drum
The drum is a member of the percussion group of musical instruments. In the Hornbostel-Sachs classification system, it is a membranophone.
