Alis Guggenheim (8 March 1896–2 September 1958) was a Swiss painter, and sculptor. Biography She born in Lengnau and who died in Zürich. Daughter of Moses Guggenheim and Fanny Guggenheim-Weil. Sister of Hilda, Bona, Martha, Hermann, Jacques and Daniel. She was the mother of Ruth Guggenheim Heussler (born Moscow 1920, died Zürich, 2009) and the grandmother of Olivia Heussler (born 1957 in Zürich) and Delia Heussler, (born 1955 in Zürich, died 1987, Manhattan, New York). In 1916 Guggenheim opened a fashion house in Zürich, called the Salon des Modes. She met a Russian student and communist named Mischa Berson with whom she travelled to the Soviet Union at the beginning of 1919. Alis Kaplandjyan ( hy, Ալիս Կապլանջյան, born December 1, 1952), is an Armenian actress. Biography Alis Kaplandjyan was born in Yerevan. Between 1969 and 1973 she studied at the Yerevan Fine Arts and Theater Institute. From 1973 to 1991 she was involved as an actress at Sundukyan National Academic Theater in Yerevan. Alis Lesley (born Alice Lesley or Alice Leslie; April 20, 1938) is an American former rockabilly singer, once billed as "the female Elvis Presley." Early life Lesley was born in Chicago, Illinois, United States. Her family later moved to Phoenix, Arizona, where she attended Phoenix Junior College. She majored in television and radio, and began singing rockabilly while a student. She was discovered by Kathryn Godfrey, a popular Phoenix television personality and the sister of Arthur Godfrey. With Kathryn Godfrey's help, Lesley became a local favorite following her appearances on television station KTVK and in local night clubs. Career Lesley achieved brief national celebrity with the 1957 release of her Era single, "He Will Come Back to Me" backed with "Heartbreak Harry" (Era Records 45-1034).
