Ali Al Shami
Ali Al Shami (born 1945) is a Shia Islam in Lebanon, Shia Lebanese academic and a member of the Amal Movement, Amal movement. He was Lebanon's minister of foreign affairs and emigrants from 2009 to 2011. Early life and education Shami was born into a Shiite family in 1945. He received a bachelor's degree in political science from Lebanese University in 1970 and a diploma again in political science from the University of Grenoble in 1971 as well as a PhD in political science from the same university in 1978. Career Shami is a retired university professor who taught in the college of law and political science at Lebanese University before becoming a member of the Amal movement. He was part of the committee in charge of writing a program for action of the government led by Prime Minister of Lebanon, Prime Minister Saad Hariri in November 2009. Lebanese Government Of November 2009
On 9 November 2009, after five months of negotiations following the 2009 parliamentary elections, Lebanese prime minister Saad Hariri formed a national unity government. Method Fifteen ministers were selected by Hariri's March 14 Alliance, ten from the opposition March 8 Alliance, and five allotted to President Michel Suleiman. This formula denied March 14 a majority of cabinet posts, while also preventing the opposition from wielding veto power, which requires 11 posts. Thus, at least in theory, the ministers selected by President Suleiman—considered impartial—hold a swing vote on decision making. Composition Vote of confidence The cabinet and government program were voted for confidence on 10 December 2009. It was founded by Kamel Mrowa in 1952, ceased its print format in February 2020, and completely closed on 31 October 2021. History The paper was founded in 1952 by Kamel Mrowa, the publisher of the Arabic daily ''Al-Hayat'', to serve the growing number of expatriates brought by the oil industry. Nabih Berri ( ar, نبيه مصطفى بري, translit=Nabīh Muṣṭafā Barriyy, links=hh; born 28 January 1938) is a Lebanese Shia politician who has been serving as Speaker of the Parliament of Lebanon since 1992. He heads the Amal Movement. Early life and education He was born in Bo, Sierra Leone to Lebanese people, Lebanese Shia parents on 28 January 1938. His father, Mustafa Berri, was a trader there. Berri went to school in Tebnine and Ain Ebel in southern Lebanon, then continued his education in Bint Jbeil and Jaafariya supplementary schools in southern Lebanon and later studied at the Makassed and the Ecole de la Sagesse in Beirut.
