Alex Winwood
Alex Winwood (born 25 June 1997) is an Australian boxer. He competed in the men's flyweight event at the 2020 Summer Olympics. In the round of 32 he was beaten by Patrick Chinyemba from Zambia on points. Early years Winwood is a Noongar man from Mandurah in Perth. He started boxing as a 15-year-old in high school and he loved it. He started training outside of school at the Eureka Boxing Club in Mandurah, where he was coached by Brian Satori. Winwood is the great-nephew of former professional Brian Bennell. Achievements Winwood participated in the AIBA World Boxing Championships. He won the national flyweight title in December 2019, Winwood did not qualify for the 2016 Rio Olympics. He then earned his Olympic spot at the 2020 Asia and Oceania Olympic Qualification event in Amman, Jordan. Northbridge is an inner city suburb of Perth, Western Australia, historically separated from Perth's central business district by the Fremantle and Joondalup railway lines. It is part of the City of Perth local government area. Location Located immediately north of the CBD, Northbridge is officially bounded by William Street, Roe Street, Newcastle Street and the Mitchell Freeway. Yudai Shigeoka
is a Japanese professional boxer who has held the World Boxing Council (WBC) mini-flyweight title since October 2023. As of November 2023, he is ranked as the world's best active mini-flyweight by BoxRec. Early life Yudai is the older brother of fellow boxer Ginjiro Shigeoka. Amateur career While attending the Kaishin High School, Shigeoka won four national titles as a pinweight. In 2018, Shigeoka won the All Japan Boxing Championship as a light flyweight, and reached the finals of the World University Championships in Russia, once again as a light flyweight. Shigeoka intended to compete in the 2020 Olympic Games while attending the Takushoku University, but decided to drop out of university and become a professional after the junior flyweight division was expunged from the Games. Tibo Monabesa (born 10 June 1990) is an Indonesian professional boxer who has held the WBC International light-flyweight title since April 2021. Professional boxing career Monabesa made his professional debut against Benigno Nino on May 16, 2012, and won the fight by decision. He amassed a 14–0–1 record during the next four years, with seven of those victories coming by way of stoppage.
