Alex Nicholson (footballer Born 1994)
Alex Jack Nicholson (born 1 February 1994) is a Welsh footballer who plays as a right-back and as a right-winger for Blyth Spartans. He has also played for the Wales U19 national team. He previously played for Newcastle Academy and Reserves, Chorley, Preston North End, Blyth Spartans, South Shields and Gateshead. Career Newcastle United Nicholson signed for Newcastle United in 2007, originally playing as a winger before converting to full-back. He made his reserve team debut in December 2010 but did not play for the first team. Preston North End After leaving Newcastle, Nicholson signed for Preston North End on 26 September 2013 until the end of the season, having trained with the team without a contract since pre-season. He made his first team debut in the Football League Trophy on 8 October 2013, this turned out to be his only appearance for the club. On 27 March 2014, Nicholson joined Chorley on loan. Michael James Williamson (born 8 November 1983) is an English professional football manager and player who plays as a centre back. He is the player-manager of club Gateshead. Club career Early career Born in Stoke-on-Trent, Staffordshire, Williamson played six first-team games for Torquay United before joining Southampton in November 2001 for an initial fee believed to be in the region of £100,000. However, Williamson was unable to get into the first team at Southampton. He returned to Plainmoor on loan for two months in September 2003, where he made 11 further appearances. 2013 UEFA European Under-19 Championship Qualification
The 2013 UEFA European Under-19 Championship (qualifying round) was the first round of qualifications for the 2013 UEFA European Under-19 Championship final tournament. The 48 participating teams were divided into 12 groups of four teams, with each group being contested as a mini-tournament hosted by one of the group's teams. After all matches have been played, the 12 group winners and 12 group runners-up along with the best third-placed team will advance to the Elite Round.
