Alex Foster (born May 10, 1953) is an American jazz musician who plays alto and tenor saxophone. He has recorded for record labels since the early 1970s. He is known for playing alto sax in the ''Saturday Night Live'' house band. He is also the co-musical director for the Mingus Big Band (which was nominated for a Grammy Award in 2005, and later winning the award for Best Large Jazz Ensemble), Mingus Orchestra and Mingus Dynasty. Alex Foster (ice Hockey)
Alexander Dwight Foster (born August 26, 1984) is a retired American professional ice hockey forward who last played with the Brampton Beast of the ECHL. He is the son of former NHL player Dwight Foster and nephew of former NHL player Wes Jarvis. Prior to advancing to the professional ranks, Foster played both junior hockey and college hockey. He played his collegiate hockey at Bowling Green State University. After leaving college in 2006, he was signed to the Toronto Maple Leafs organization. He played for their farm team, the Toronto Marlies, occasionally being called into action for the NHL team, the Toronto Maple Leafs. Early life Foster was born August 26, 1984, in Canton, Michigan, to parents Dwight and Maryann Foster. He has two brothers and one sister. Alex Foster (born 25 September 1993) is an English professional rugby league footballer who plays as a or for the Castleford Tigers in the Super League, on a season-long loan from Newcastle Thunder in the RFL Championship.
