Alex (footballer, Born December 1988)
Alex Monteiro de Lima (born 15 December 1988), simply known as Alex, is a Brazilian professional footballer who plays as a midfielder for Indian Super League club East Bengal. Club career Alex began his career in the youth system of Grêmio Mauaense. In 2008, he left Brazil to sign with FC Wohlen in Switzerland. During the 2009/10 season he was loaned to Gossau. He returned to Wohlen the following season and became a regular starter for the club as he made 48 league appearances and scored six goals in two seasons. On April 26, 2012, Alex signed a deal with Chicago Fire of Major League Soccer. He officially joined the squad on June 27, 2012 with the opening of the summer transfer window. As of April 13, 2015, he was traded to the Houston Dynamo. Alex was released by Houston at the end of their 2017 season. He later signed for K League 2 side Suwon FC. Major League Soccer (MLS) is a men's professional soccer league sanctioned by the United States Soccer Federation, which represents the sport's highest level in the United States. The 2010–11 Swiss Challenge League was the eighth season of the Swiss Challenge League, the second tier of the Swiss football league pyramid. It began on 23 July 2010 and ended on 25 May 2011. The champions of this season, FC Lausanne-Sport, earned promotion to the 2011–12 Super League. The runners-up Servette won the promotion/relegation playoff against the 9th-placed team of the 2010–11 Super League, AC Bellinzona. The bottom two teams, FC Schaffhausen and Yverdon-Sport FC, were relegated to the 1. Liga. Teams 2009–10 Challenge League champions FC Thun were promoted to the 2010–11 Super League. Mohammad Mobashir Rahman (born 12 March 1998), is an Indian professional footballer who plays as a midfielder for East Bengal in the Indian Super League. Career Born in Jamshedpur, Jharkhand, Rahman's father, Mohammad Shafique, played football for Bihar. In 2008, Rahman was offered a chance to train at the Chandigarh Football Academy but had to reject it after his parents were not sure whether to let Rahman focus on football. 2022 Durand Cup
The 2022 Durand Cup, also known as IndianOil Durand Cup due to sponsorship ties with Indian Oil Corporation, was the 131st edition of Durand Cup, the oldest football tournament in Asia, and also the first edition since it was recognised by the Asian Football Confederation. This year for the first time the tournament was played in more than one venue. The tournament is hosted by the Durand Football Tournament Society in co-operation with the Eastern Command of the Indian Armed Forces and the Government of West Bengal, supported by the governments Assam and Manipur.
