Aleksandrs Jeļisejevs
Aleksandrs Jelisejevs (born 11 August 1971) is a Latvian football coach and a former international striker. He is the manager of the Latvia national under-16 team. He obtained a total number of 37 caps for the Latvia national football team, scoring four goals. He also played in Finland, Hungary, Russia and Israel during his career. Daugavpils (; russian: Двинск; ltg, Daugpiļs ; german: Dünaburg, ; pl, Dyneburg; see other names) is a state city in south-eastern Latvia, located on the banks of the Daugava River, from which the city gets its name. The parts of the city north of the river belong to the historical Latvian region of Latgale, and those to the south lie in Selonia. It is the second-largest city in the country after the capital Riga, which is located some to its north-west. Norwegian reserve football teams compete at all levels of league football within the Norwegian football league system apart from the top two divisions, Eliteserien and 1. divisjon. The highest league these teams can currently enter is the 2. divisjon, set at the third tier of the league system. The reserve teams are attached to their first teams with a "2" suffix and must play in a lower league than the first team. Furthermore, if a club's first team plays in the 1. divisjon, the reserves team cannot play in the 2. divisjon either. If a reserve team ends up at a promotion spot when it is not allowed to be promoted, the promotion is awarded to best following team in the league standings which is allowed to be promoted. The 1993 season in the Latvian Higher League, named ''Virslīga'', was the third domestic competition since the Baltic nation gained independence from the Soviet Union on 6 September 1991.
