Aled De Malmanche
Aled Peter de Malmanche (born 11 September 1984 in Palmerston North, New Zealand) is a New Zealand rugby union footballer. He plays at hooker for Stade Français in the Top 14. He signed in 2011 from the Chiefs in Super Rugby and Waikato in the Air New Zealand Cup. He has also played for New Zealand. He can also play as a prop on both sides of the scrum. He was also qualified to play for Wales through his Welsh grandparents, but became ineligible after his All Blacks debut. However, with IOC rules taking precedence for rugby following its inclusion in the 2016 olympics, de Malmanche will be eligible for Wales selection for the 2015 rugby world cup. De Malmanche was educated at Hamilton Boys' High School and also attended Waikato Institute of Technology. He played club rugby for Hamilton Old Boys. Stade Français Paris Rugby () is a French professional rugby union club based in the 16th arrondissement of Paris. The club plays in the Top 14 domestic league in France and is one of the most successful French clubs of the modern era. The original Stade Français was founded in 1883. Jules Le Lievre
Jules Mathew Le Lievre (17 August 1933 – 17 January 2016) was a New Zealand rugby union player. A prop, Le Lievre represented at a provincial level, and was a member of the New Zealand national side, the All Blacks, from 1962 to 1964. He played 25 matches for the All Blacks but only appeared in one international. 2009 Mid-year Rugby Test Series
The 2009 mid-year rugby union tests (also known as the Summer Internationals in the Northern Hemisphere) refers to the rugby union Internationals played from 23 May to 4 July 2009, mostly in the Southern Hemisphere. The main event in the series was the Lions tour of South Africa, which involved three test matches, while France and Italy travelled to Oceania. For Australia, New Zealand and South Africa the Tests also constituted preparation for the 2009 Tri Nations. There was also a short tour for the Barbarians, including their first ever match in Australia. 2007 Churchill Cup
The 2007 Churchill Cup was held from May 18 to June 2, 2007. It was the fifth year of the Churchill Cup. Six rugby union teams took part: Canada, England Saxons, Ireland A, New Zealand Māori, Scotland A, and the USA. Format The teams were split into two pools of three teams each. The winners of the two pools moved on to compete in the overall final, while the two runners-up competed for the Plate, and the two bottom-placed teams contested the Bowl. All of the finals were played on 2 June 2007 at Twickenham. 2007 was the first occasion where the competition was played outside of North America. 2007 Super 14 Season
The 2007 Super 14 season started in February 2007 with preseason matches held from mid-January. It finished on 19 May with the final at ABSA Stadium in Durban, in the first final between two South African teams in the history of Super Rugby. The visiting Bulls won the 2007 Super 14 Final, scoring a try in the 83rd minute and narrowly defeating the Sharks 20–19, thereby becoming the first South African side to win the Super Rugby title in the professional era. Super 14 is a provincial rugby union competition with 14 teams from New Zealand, Australia and South Africa. This season is the second of the expansion, which led to the name change to the Super 14. ACT Brumbies
The ACT Brumbies (known from 2005–2022 as simply the Brumbies) is an Australian professional rugby union team based in Canberra, Australian Capital Territory (ACT), The team competes in Super Rugby and named for the brumby, feral horses which inhabit the capital's hinterland.
