Alcino João Do Nascimento
Alcino João do Nascimento (3 July 1922 – 18 January 2014) was a Brazilian construction worker. He gained notoriety for being one of the convicted for the assassination attempt of journalist and politician Carlos Lacerda, which became nationally known as the Rua Tonelero shooting. Biography Alcino João do Nascimento was born in Itaperuna, Rio de Janeiro, one of the 12 children of José João do Nascimento and Leonídia Maria do Nascimento. In 1939, aged 17, he moved to Resplendor with a brother. There, he met Abigail Rabelo, whom he married to (at the time, Abigail was 13 years old). Married, but unemployed, he went to Belo Horizonte to look for a job. At this moment, he began a good relationship with then mayor Juscelino Kubitschek, who hired him as construction worker of the city. The .45 ACP (Automatic Colt Pistol) or .45 Auto (11.43×23mm) is a rimless straight-walled handgun cartridge designed by John Moses Browning in 1904, for use in his prototype Colt semi-automatic pistol. After successful military trials, it was adopted as the standard chambering for Colt's M1911 pistol. The round was developed due to a lack of stopping power experienced in the Moro Rebellion in places like Sulu. Rubens Florentino Vaz
Rubens Florentino Vaz (March 17, 1922 – August 5, 1954) was a Brazilian military officer in the Brazilian Air Force. He was shot and killed by then president Getúlio Vargas's bodyguard Gregório Fortunato in an attempt to assassinate Carlos Lacerda, one of the most prominent opposition voices to the Vargas presidency. Life He was born on 17 March 1922 to parents Joaquim Florentino Vaz Júnior and Zilda de Oliveira Vaz. In 1940 he went to Campo dos Afonsos in Rio de Janeiro and completed his course in 1943. In 1954 he served in the Directorate of Air Routes, in Rio de Janeiro, when the opposition to the 2nd government of Getúlio Vargas intensified. The Chamber of Deputies ( pt, Câmara dos Deputados) is a federal legislative body and the lower house of the National Congress of Brazil. The chamber comprises 513 deputies, who are elected by proportional representation to serve four-year terms. The current President of the Chamber is the Deputy Arthur Lira ( PP- AL), who was elected on 1 February 2021. Structure The number of deputies elected is proportional to the size of the population of the respective state (or of the Federal District) as of 1994. However, no delegation can be made up of less than eight or more than seventy seats. Thus the least populous state elects eight federal deputies and the most populous elects seventy. These restrictions favour the smaller states at the expense of the more populous states and so the size of the delegations is not exactly proportional to population.
