Albert Wright (Australian Cricketer)
Albert William Wright (24 September 1875 – 23 December 1938) was an Australian cricketer and groundskeeper, pitch curator. He played in 30 first-class cricket, first-class matches for South Australia cricket team, South Australia between 1905 and 1920 before taking over the preparation of the Adelaide Oval. Life and career Wright was a leg-spin bowler who began his first-class career at the age of 30 in December 1905. In his second Sheffield Shield match, he took his best innings figures of 7 for 66 when South Australia beat Victoria cricket team, Victoria. Five years later he took his best match figures of 11 for 176 (5 for 75 and 6 for 101) in a 285-run victory over New South Wales cricket team, New South Wales. In 1907 Wright took a position with the ground staff at the Adelaide Oval. He became the Groundskeeping, curator at the ground in 1920 and held that position until his death in December 1938. Albert Wright (11 August 1902 – 8 November 1984) was an English cricketer. He was a right-handed batsman and a right-arm fast bowler who played for Essex. He was born and died in Great Leighs Great Leighs is a village and former civil parish, now in the parish of Great and Little Leighs, in the Chelmsford district of Essex, England, halfway between Chelmsford itself and Braintree. Albert Wright (cricketer, Born 1941)
Albert Wright (born 25 August 1941) is a former English cricketer who played first-class and List A cricket for Warwickshire between 1960 and 1964. He was a right-handed tail-end batsman and a right-arm medium-pace bowler. He was born at Arley in Warwickshire. Wright had a brief first-class cricket career, but in one season, 1962, he was one of the leading wicket-takers in county cricket. He played for Warwickshire's second eleven from 1958 and made his first-class debut in nine games in the 1960 season, taking 21 wickets. There was an advance to 48 wickets from 17 matches in 1961, though they came at a cost of 32.52 runs per wicket, which was a high average for that period. Albert Henry Wright (1890 – 20 March 1963) was a member of the Queensland Legislative Assembly. Biography Wright was born in Marston, Derbyshire, the son of John Wright and his wife Elizabeth (née Barnes). He was educated at Hatton Council School, Derby, and after his arrival in Queensland was employed at the American Meatworks in Brisbane. He later worked as a coachmaker and engineer. Albert Hazen Wright
Albert Hazen Wright (August 15, 1879 – July 5, 1970) was an American herpetologist and professor at Cornell University. He was also an honorary member of the International Ornithological Congress. He did a great deal of study of the Okefenokee Swamp. In 1955 he won the Eminent Ecologist Award. Biography Albert Hazen Wright was born on August 15, 1879, in Hilton, New York, to parents Delos C. Wright and Emily Hazen. His parents also had a younger daughter named Mabel. On June 25, 1910, Wright married his wife, Anna Maria Allen, whom he met at Cornell University. Wright died on July 5, 1970, in Ithaca, New York, at the age of ninety. Albert "Chalky" Wright (February 1, 1912 – August 12, 1957) was an American featherweight boxer who fought from 1928 to 1948 and held the world featherweight championship in 1941–1942.
