Albert Ross (Albatros)
The Albatros was an English automobile manufactured in Croft Road, Coventry and founded in 1922 by H.T.W. Manwaring. Albert Ross (footballer)
Albert Cyril Ross (7 October 1916 – 1998) was an English footballer who played as a full back. Career In 1933, at the age of 17, Ross began his career at Arsenal, playing for the club's reserves. The following year, Ross returned north to sign for Gainsborough Trinity. In 1935, Ross joined Middlesbrough. At the club, Ross made eleven Football League appearances, before departing in March 1937 to sign for Bradford (Park Avenue). Ahead of the 1938–39 season, Ross signed for newly formed Chelmsford City, before joining Chester City before the start of the season. Albert Randolph Ross
Albert Randolph Ross (October 26, 1868 – October 27, 1948) was an American architect. Born in Westfield, Massachusetts, he was a son of architect John W. Ross. Biography Albert Ross attended grammar school in Westfield and later in Davenport, Iowa, where he went to high school, graduating in 1884. After working as a draughtsman in his father's architecture office in Davenport from 1884 to 1887, he spent a year working for an architect in Buffalo, New York, before joining the New York City firm of McKim, Mead and White in 1891. In 1898, he formed the firm of Ackerman & Ross with William S. Ackerman, a partnership which dissolved in 1901. Albert Henry Ross (1 January 1881 – 14 September 1950), (pseudonym Frank Morison), was an English advertising agent and freelance writer known for writing the Christian apologetics book ''Who Moved the Stone?'' and ''And Pilate Said''. Biography Ross was born on 1 January 1881 in Kings Norton, Worcestershire just slightly south of Birmingham. His father, John Charles Ross (1838–1914) was a wine merchant who operated different businesses in Birmingham. His mother was Mary Ann Ross (née Marshall) and she was born in Hollingbourne, Kent in 1850. His parents were married in 1878. His mother died in Aston, Birmingham in 1912, and his father died in Aston, Birmingham in 1914. It is understood that Ross attended the Grammar School of King Edward VI in Stratford-upon-Avon, England. According to the 1901 census he was living with his parents and older brother Percy Charles Ross in Birmingham and his occupation was that of a printer compositor. Ross Bicycles Inc. manufactured over 15 million bicycles under the Ross brand between 1946 and 1988. The company began in Williamsburg, New York, United States, later moving its headquarters and manufacturing to Rockaway Beach, Queens. The headquarters remained in Rockaway when manufacturing was later moved to Allentown, Pennsylvania where Sherwood could focus on designing his high end Gran Eurosport model which featured synthetic grease, polished bearings, and 26 skip tooth front sprocket for friction reduction. Sherwood Ross, against the advice of his vice president Randy Ross, retooled the Allentown factory and experimented in unrelated bicycle endeavors involving government contracts. ''Dirk Gently's Holistic Detective Agency'' is a humorous detective novel by English writer Douglas Adams, published in 1987. It is described by the author on its cover as a "thumping good detective-ghost-horror-who dunnit-time travel-romantic-musical-comedy-epic". The book was followed by a sequel, ''The Long Dark Tea-Time of the Soul''. The recurring major characters are the eponymous Dirk Gently, his secretary Janice Pearce and Sergeant Gilks. Deviations Project is a British electronic music group composed of producer Dave Williams and violinist Oliver Lewis. The group blends elements of classical music with electronica; pieces such as Tchaikovsky's "Swan Lake", Bizet's "Carmen" and Bach's "Sonata in Gm" are recreated with modern music technology.
