Albert Plummer
Albert Plummer (August 9, 1840 – March 20, 1912) was an American physician and legislator. Born in Auburn, New Hampshire, Plummer graduated from Kimball Union Academy in Meriden, New Hampshire, and received his medical degree from Bowdoin College. He served in the 10th New Hampshire Volunteer Infantry during the American Civil War as a surgeon. In 1867, Plummer moved to Hamilton, Minnesota where he practiced medicine. In 1883–1884, he served in the Minnesota House of Representatives. Legislator
A legislator (also known as a deputy or lawmaker) is a person who writes and passes laws, especially someone who is a member of a legislature. Legislators are often elected by the people of the state. Legislatures may be supra-national (for example, the European Parliament), national (for example, the United States Congress), or local (for example, local authorities). Overview The political theory of the separation of powers requires legislators to be independent individuals from the members of the executive and the judiciary. Certain political systems adhere to this principle, others do not.
