Albert Nelson, 6th Earl Nelson
Albert Francis Joseph Horatio Nelson, 6th Earl Nelson, FRGS, FRSA, FZS (2 September 1890 – 23 June 1957), styled Viscount Merton between 1947 and 1951, was a British peer. He was the great-great grand nephew of Horatio Nelson, 1st Viscount Nelson. He was the oldest son of The Hon. Edward Nelson (who later succeeded as The 5th Earl Nelson in 1948) and Geraldine Cave; he was educated at Downside School and Maredsous Abbey. He fought in World War I in the Australian Imperial Force. A lecturer in astronomy and anthropology, he was appointed Fellow of the Royal Astronomical Society (FRAS), Fellow of the Royal Geographical Society (FRGS) and Fellow of the Royal Society of Arts (FRSA). He authored two books: Life in the Universe (1953), and There IS Life on Mars (1955). On 16 January 1924, he married Amelia Cooper (died 1937), a Californian and widow of John C. Scott. Al Nelson
Albert "Al" Nelson (born October 27, 1943) is a former professional American football cornerback in the National Football League (NFL) for nine seasons for the Philadelphia Eagles. He played college football at the University of Cincinnati and was drafted in the third round of the 1965 NFL Draft. Nelson was also selected in the ninth round of the 1965 AFL Draft by the Buffalo Bills. On September 26, 1971, in the first Eagles game at the newly-opened Veterans Stadium, Nelson scored a fourth quarter touchdown on a then-record 102-yard return of a missed field goal by Dallas Cowboys kicker Mike Clark. It was the Eagles' only score of the contest in a lopsided 42-7 loss. The previous holder of the record was his coach at the time Jerry Williams. The Nelsonian
The Nelsonian is a 32-piece One-Man Band contraption, that Albert Nelson (1884-1964) designed, built and played. Nelson began building the device in 1915, because the Cello player in his band would often fail to show up. This led him to invent a device, that would allow him to play the Violin and Cello at the same time. His work on the machine concluded in 1957, when he added the 32nd and final instrument. Albert Nelson (April 25, 1923 – December 21, 1992), known by his stage name Albert King, was an American guitarist and singer who is often regarded as one of the greatest and most influential blues guitarists of all time. He is perhaps best known for his popular and influential album ''Born Under a Bad Sign'' (1967) and its title track. He, B.B. King, and Freddie King, all unrelated, were known as the "Kings of the Blues". Alberta Nelson (August 14, 1937 – April 29, 2006) was an American television and film actress. After several dramatic parts in television in the early 1960s, she made five guest appearances on ''The Andy Griffith Show''. Early years Nelson was born in Erie, Pennsylvania, to Frank Alton Nelson (1909–1959) and Katherine Storkel Stephens Nelson (1900–1982). Her only sibling was a half-sister, Irene Stephens McAleer (1919–1994). After graduating from the Andrews School for Girls in Willoughby, Ohio, in 1955, she briefly attended St. John's Hospital School of Nursing in Cleveland, Ohio.
