Albert Edward Cooper (23 September 1910 – 12 May 1986) was a Conservative Party politician in the United Kingdom. He was twice Member of Parliament for Ilford South, from 1950 to 1966, and again from 1970 to 1974. In the United Kingdom, a member of Parliament (MP) is an individual elected to serve in the House of Commons of the Parliament of the United Kingdom. Ilford South is a constituency created in 1945 represented in the House of Commons of the UK Parliament since 2019 by Sam Tarry of the Labour Party. Constituency profile The seat covers Ilford town centre and the surrounding suburbs, and the housing is predominantly semi-detached with little high-rise development. There is significant commuting to central London via the four stations on the Elizabeth line. The seat is ethnically diverse including white, black and Asian communities.
