The Albanian National Football Championship for Women (Albanian Language, Albanian: ''Kampionati Kombëtar i Futbollit për Femra''), primarily referred to as the Albanian Women's National Championship, is the highest division of women's association football, women's football in Albania. The league is the female equivalent to the men's Kategoria Superiore and the current season is contested by 10 clubs. History Although football is considered one of most popular sports in Albania, women's association football, women's football has historically been non evident in the country until 2007, when the first ever national tournament was held in Sarandë between the 15th and 18 August as a promotional event for women's football. The teams who participated were amateur sides made up of a selection of players from Tirana, Shkodra, Korça, and Rubik. Altin Rraklli
Altin Rraklli (born 17 July 1970) is an Albanian football coach and former player who played as a forward. Most of his professional career was spent in Germany, where he played for five clubs in both major levels of football, mainly SC Freiburg and SpVgg Unterhaching for a total of 282 games. Fier (; sq-definite, Fieri) is the seventh most populous city of the Republic of Albania and seat of Fier County and Fier Municipality. It is situated on the bank of Gjanica River in the Myzeqe Plain between the Seman in the north, the Vjosë in the south and the foothills of the Mallakastra Mountains in the southeast. Futboll Klub Partizani, or FK Partizani for short, is an Albanian professional football club based in Tirana, that competes in the Kategoria Superiore. Founded in 1946, the club was historically affiliated to the Albanian army. Partizani's current temporary home ground is Arena Kombëtare and the newly built stadium at Partizani Complex.
