Al Martin
Albert Lee Martin (born November 24, 1967) is a former professional baseball left fielder. He played 12 seasons in Major League Baseball, mostly for the Pittsburgh Pirates. He also played one season in the KBO League. Early life Martin graduated from John A. Rowland High School in Rowland Heights, California, in 1985. Professional career Martin played for four teams in the majors: the Pittsburgh Pirates (1992–99), the San Diego Padres (2000), the Seattle Mariners (2000–01), and the Tampa Bay Devil Rays (2003). His best season was in 1996 when he hit .300 with 18 home runs and 72 RBIs. That year he also stole 38 bases. He played for the KBO's LG Twins in 2004. Controversies Martin claimed to have played football at University of Southern California. In 2001, he compared a collision with Seattle teammate Carlos Guillén to the time he tried to tackle Michigan running back Leroy Hoard in 1986, when he was playing strong safety at Southern California. Albert DeGroot Martin (1847 – March 17, 1915), was a professional baseball player who played second base and outfield for the 1872 Brooklyn Eckfords and the 1874-1875 Brooklyn Atlantics The Atlantic Base Ball Club of Brooklyn ("Atlantic" or the "Brooklyn Atlantics") was baseball's first champion and its first dynasty. The team was also the first baseball club to visit the White House in 1865 at the invitation of President And .... He was also known as Albert May. He was later a bookkeeper. He married Emily Augusta Peverelly on May 26, 1873 at the South Dutch Church in Brooklyn. He died at his home in Brooklyn, 76 Van Buren Street, in 1915. Al Martin (January 1, 1897 – October 10, 1971) was an American screenwriter and TV writer known for his work on B-movies across a wide range of genres. Biography Martin, a native of Milwaukee, Wisconsin, got his start writing scenarios and titles for silent films, first at Mascot and then at Republic. In the 1940s, he started working for Hal Roach, Monogram, Columbia, and Paramount. By the 1950s, he was working on various television shows, in addition to writing sci-fi films for Roger Corman. His final feature was 1958's ''In the Money'', a Bowery Boys film. He had a son, Harvey Martin, with his first wife, Mildred Seib. After Mildred's death, he married Helen Abrams, who he co-wrote '' Invisible Ghost'' with. He once held a party for his dog at the Knickerbocker Hotel, and invited notable A-listers like Joan Crawford and their dogs.
