Ajax Animator
Ajax Animator is a free, web-based animation suite. Its development began in March 2006 by Antimatter15, then a sixth grader. Ajax Animator was originally intended to be a free replacement to Flash MX, but is now a general-purpose animation tool. Ajax Animator is primarily written using JavaScript, the Ext JS framework, and HTML5-related technologies such as SVG. The software can be used either from within a web browser or from an offline installation. History Ajax Animator began as an ambitious project by Antimatter15, then a 6th grader. Its intended use was to draw stick figures and animation and export them to Flash files, as an alternative to the expensive Flash MX desktop program. It was first inspired by thKoolmovesFlash editing software. Development started around March 2006, based on thRichDrawJavaScript library, which allowed for in-browser graphics creation. The application was soon rewritten to use the DHTML Suite library froDHTML Goodies and finally allowed f ...

Raphaël (JavaScript Library)
Raphaël, named for Italian painter Raffaello Sanzio da Urbino, is a cross-browser JavaScript library that draws Vector graphics for web sites. It will use Scalable Vector Graphics, SVG for most browsers, but will use VML for older versions of Internet Explorer. Raphaël currently supports Chrome browser, Chrome 5.0+ Firefox 3.0+, Safari (web browser), Safari 3.0+, Opera (web browser), Opera 9.5+ and Internet Explorer 6.0+. According to JavaScript analytics service, Libscore, Raphaël is used on over 3,000 websites, including the homepages of Apple Inc., Apple's iCloud, Food Network, Cornell, and Philips. Use Raphaël is used by first creating an instance of the Raphaël Object (computer science), object, which manages the creation of the canvas. The following examples create a canvas that is 320 pixels wide and 200 pixels high: // top left of canvas at the viewport's 10,50 coordinate var r = Raphael(10, 50, 320, 200); // top left of canvas at the top left corner of the #exam ...

Inbetweening
Inbetweening, also known as tweening, is a process in animation that involves creating intermediate Film frame, frames, called inbetweens, between two key frame, keyframes. The intended result is to create the illusion of movement by smoothly transitioning one image into another. Traditional animation Traditional inbetweening involves the use of a light table to draw a set of pencil and paper drawings. The process of inbetweening in traditional animation starts with a primary artist, who draws key frames to define movement. After the testing and approval of a rough animation, the scene is passed down to assistants, who perform Cleanup (animation), clean-up and add necessary inbetweening. In large studios, assistants usually add breakdowns, which define the movement in more detail. The scene is then passed down to another assistant, the inbetweener who completes the animation. In small animation teams, animators will often carry out the full inbetweening process themselves. Dick H ...

Subversion
Subversion () refers to a process by which the values and principles of a system in place are contradicted or reversed in an attempt to transform the established social order and its structures of power, authority, hierarchy, and social norms. Subversion can be described as an attack on the public morale and, "the will to resist intervention are the products of combined political and social or class loyalties which are usually attached to national symbols. Following penetration, and parallel with the forced disintegration of political and social institutions of the state, these tendencies may be detached and transferred to the political or ideological cause of the aggressor". Subversion is used as a tool to achieve political goals because it generally carries less risk, cost, and difficulty as opposed to open belligerency. Furthermore, it is a relatively cheap form of warfare that does not require large amounts of training. A subversive is something or someone carrying the potential ...

Scalable Vector Graphics
Scalable Vector Graphics (SVG) is an XML-based vector image format for defining two-dimensional graphics, having support for interactivity and animation. The SVG specification is an open standard developed by the World Wide Web Consortium since 1999. SVG images are defined in a vector graphics format and stored in XML text files. SVG images can thus be scaled in size without loss of quality, and SVG files can be searched, indexed, scripted, and compressed. The XML text files can be created and edited with text editors or vector graphics editors, and are rendered by the most-used web browsers. Overview SVG has been in development within the World Wide Web Consortium (W3C) since 1999 after six competing proposals for vector graphics languages had been submitted to the consortium during 1998 (see below). The early SVG Working Group decided not to develop any of the commercial submissions, but to create a new markup language that was informed by but not really based on any ...

HTML5
HTML5 is a markup language used for structuring and presenting content on the World Wide Web. It is the fifth and final major HTML version that is a World Wide Web Consortium (W3C) recommendation. The current specification is known as the HTML Living Standard. It is maintained by the Web Hypertext Application Technology Working Group (WHATWG), a consortium of the major browser vendors (Apple, Google, Mozilla, and Microsoft). HTML5 was first released in a public-facing form on 22 January 2008, with a major update and "W3C Recommendation" status in October 2014. Its goals were to improve the language with support for the latest multimedia and other new features; to keep the language both easily readable by humans and consistently understood by computers and devices such as web browsers, parsers, etc., without XHTML's rigidity; and to remain backward-compatible with older software. HTML5 is intended to subsume not only HTML 4 but also XHTML 1 and DOM Level 2 HTML. HTML5 ...

Ext JS
Ext JS is a JavaScript application framework for building interactive cross-platform web applications using techniques such as Ajax, DHTML and DOM scripting. It can be used as a simple component framework (for example, to create dynamic grids on otherwise static pages) but also as a full framework for building single-page applications (SPAs). Originally built as an add-on library extension of YUI by Jack Slocum on April 15, 2007, Ext JS has had no dependencies on external libraries beginning with version 1.1. Nowadays, Ext JS can be used both as a single script (with all classes and components in one file) or by building the application with the Sencha Cmd. Features GUI controls (components) Ext JS includes a set of GUI-based form controls (or " widgets") for use within web applications: * text field and textarea input controls * date fields with a pop-up date-picker * numeric fields * list box and combo boxes * radio and checkbox controls * html editor control * grid control ...

Flash MX
Adobe Animate (formerly Adobe Flash Professional, Macromedia Flash, and FutureSplash Animator) is a multimedia authoring and computer animation program developed by Adobe Inc. Animate is used to design vector graphics and animation for television series, online animation, websites, web applications, rich web applications, game development, commercials, and other interactive projects. The program also offers support for raster graphics, rich text, audio video embedding, and ActionScript 3.0 scripting. Animations may be published for HTML5, WebGL, Scalable Vector Graphics (SVG) animation and spritesheets, and legacy Flash Player (SWF) and Adobe AIR formats. The developed projects also extend to applications for Android, iOS, Windows Desktop and MacOS. It was first released in 1996 as ''FutureSplash Animator'', and then renamed ''Macromedia Flash'' upon its acquisition by Macromedia. It served as the main authoring environment for the Adobe Flash platform, vector-based soft ...
