Ajan Fakir
Azan Faqir ( ar, أذان فقير), born Shah Miran, also known as Ajan Pir, Hazrat Shah Miran, and Shah Milan (presumably from ''Miran''), was a Sufi Syed, poet, Muslim preacher and saint from the 17th century who came from Baghdad or as per some family sources, Badaun in western UP to settle in the Sibsagar area of Assam in the north-eastern part of India, where he helped to unify the people of the Brahmaputra valley, and to reform, reinforce and stabilise Islam in the region of Assam. The nickname ''Azan'' came from his habit of calling azan. He came to Assam in about 1630 from Iraq, that is, approximately 200 years after the birth of Srimanta Sankardev. According to one version his name was "Hazarat Shah Syed Mainuddin". Midhat "Ajan" Ajanović (born 20 October 1959) is a Bosnian-Swedish film theorist, animator and novelist. He is a lecturer on animation and in 2009 defended his doctorate thesis on animation, the second one on the subject in Sweden. Since 1983 he has written several novels, most often with Yugoslav/Bosnian themes and published in Bosnian, Croatian or Swedish. In 2010 Ajanović was a laureate at the Animafest Zagreb animation festival, for his achievements in the study of film animation. African Jesuit AIDS Network (AJAN) is a network of organizations that fight against HIV/AIDS, created on June 21, 2002 by Jesuits from Africa and Madagascar.
